Although the ref gave a red card (2x yellow) to Argentina, including a first yellow for protesting, I think there were SO many wrong decisions (again).
So many times there was absolutely nothing going on, mostly around Messi, and everytime it was a free kick for Argentina. It was tiring. Argentina got so many free kicks while nothing happened.

I also don't know why that goal was disallowed, I didn't see any foul. The other disallowed goal was apparently a centimeter of shoulder offside, so that's unlucky.

The longer the match went on, the less quality footbal was given. Argentina did everything to provoke. And ref lost control over the game imo. Like: the Argentinian bench players all running aggresively towards Yamal after a foul close to the side line. All raising arms, provoking. I expect a tough ref there to get those players back to their bench, shut them up, maybe multiple yellow cards. Fuck off. Right? But they did nothing.

The ref lost control, the provoking got worse and worse. Fortunately in the end, we got the Spain goal. So Spain won. Argentina players still couldn't behave and started pushing and maybe even punching Spanish players? What the hell.

And do you all remember that little scene where Cucurella ALLMOST started to talk with a hand before his mouth? A milisecond. And Messi and a fellow Argentinian imideately raising their hands, calling for the ref "He talked behind his hand, red card!!! Red card!!!". No, go away Messi. Comon dude. Is that really how you want to win? Cucurella didn't even talk behind his hand and you know it just as well.

Aweful final.

Fortunately Spain won.

Also Trump was silly AGAIN, just like with Chelsea. Hahaha, the dude just standing there, what a muppet! :ROFLMAO:

All 55 UEFA countries agree to boycott all future FIFA events if Gianni Infantino goes ahead with his plan to sell off shares in the World Cup. A move led by an investment company headed by Jarred Kushner's brother, Josh (quelle surprise  )

This is pretty significant rom UEFA.

You'd assume Infantino has to go now.
If he backs down on this, his position is untenable.

If he sticks to his guns, it is a potential financial disaster.
The prospect of the next World Cup without the majority of the worlds top teams (including the reigning champions) would decimate them financially.
The investors he's looking to profit from start to pull out, advertising revenue plummets, TV broadcasting deals value plummet not to mention the "Winners" would have to have an asterix next to their winners star. A tainted competition.

Ciao, Gianni 👋

*edit*

CONCACAF (North & Central America + Caribbean association) now reject the investment proposal.

It's impossible to explain to women how to play football.

The girls in Europe fall down and cry... what kind of football is that? They complained when Messi just fell down??? But did you see your players? They looked like babies learning to crawl.

If you don't know about football, it's best not to comment... because a campaign against Argentina (as a country) and Palestine has been exposed... if you're not aware of the rules... it's best not to comment.

Got to applaud UEFA for this stance.

In times of political unrest and unchecked billionaire shithousery, who’d have thought football would’ve been the uniting force!!

We don’t need FIFA. Especially now they’re not even hiding the rampant corruption. But one thing I’m sure the world can agree on is we don’t need Kushner money anywhere near our sport.

Shove Madonna and advert breaks up to ass!

That's the only reality they need to understand... EUROPE IS PLAGUED WITH PLAYERS WHO ARE [redacted]

Ah forums, still the same breeding ground for mental fragility as they've been since the 90s. Always fun to see these wierdos pop up every now and then for the nostalgia of it all :ROFLMAO:

Yeah UEFA really don't need to play the World Cup. Financially it is a draw because of all the European contenders. Yes, all the others add flavour but UEFA can survive on its own

Borussia Dortmund is cursed.

They finally splurge out a record amount on transfers - exciting, young new players with real flair who can become the next Gotze or Reus or whoever...

But:
- Bundesliga season debut, one of them (Konstantelias) tears their ACL. Out for most of the season.
- The other one (Karetsas), on UCL debut, just sits down after 20 or so minutes of play with trouble breathing, and is carried off on a stretcher. Circulatory problems, they say. Looked like a cardiac event - I suspect a blood clot, but that is pure speculation on my end.

What's good in all of this is, this will develop talent that was there before the arrivals, but what isn't (besides the injuries and health issues) is that the aspirations and goals for this season will definitely have to be reevaluated.

Crazy what's about to go down with City. How much 'justice' will be served, and what should that look like?

Lots of pundits calling for titles to be stripped. I think I probably agree, but not certain. On one hand, you cheated, and very badly, so this is a clear forefeight of your achievements. I feel bad for the players, not their fault, they still have to put their soul into it.

On the other hand, its 900m extra cash over 10 years, so effectively allowing you to buy 1 or 2 extra players per year. When you think of their squad that is no joke, but having expensive players doesn't mean you win. Look at Man Utd and the money they spent. They are absolute shit. Buying players doesnt gaurantee success, at all. So point being, you still have to manage and play your heart out to get victory.... still, in those seasons with Liverpool where 1 point seperated, there is no question that you take out just one player like Sterling, KDB, Yaya etc and you're not winning.

Should they have titles stripped AND get points deduction? That would be brutal, but seems fair.

How many points deduction would be adequate? What is the aim of the points deduction? Is it to stop them playing in Europe or is it to relegate them? So many consequences.

• Premier League Era: 2011–12, 2013–14, 2017–18, 2018–19, 2020–21, 2021–22, 2022–23, and 2023–24

They are at the top of the table this year as well. Some people have asked them to be relegated to Tier 4
