Cant find any proper samples right now, so beatport will have to do. Original was from 2015. Available for pre-order.

Not overly impressed with either to be honest.

What? 70% of the rest of the music. Cant just judge an entire track from a small section, it's the sum of its parts.

Right now Im more into the Allende mix. It does have that slight gouryella progression to the melody, but a bit more relaxed. Liking the little stop-and-go turn there at the end.

Not terribly impressed either tbh. Coredatas sounds half-solid i guess.

Coredata keeping it real and Rich's label comes up with the goods again. 👌Allende's mix is nice too, a very different take

Prefer the Allende remix from the samples, but the synth lead seem a bit watery/flat? could just be me. Looking forward to hearing the full version.

Haha, did you listen to Exposure - Magic Impuls or something with phater synths before this perhaps?

Ha no, good example of a phat synth though. Could be a interesting new thread?

I'll play it via the good headphones tomorrow.

The second part of the Allende mix is really cool. Coredata mix also gets the nod of approval, probably the pick of them both. Collab from these two would be cool, the styles are contrasting might work.

Yeah, i like the Allende mix more from a arrangement side but both are somewhat underwhelming. Agree even more with MDD about the flat synth now when i heard the full mix

It's the second half I was referring. Around the 5min mark.

I like it apart from that bit. Just losses momentum for me.

Coredata one is my choice, although Allende one is more interesting

Not the most incredible release but I set myself high expectations when listening to new music from these two

Thanks for the feedback guys!

This is actually my first remix since 2018's Lime Island Remix. I used to do a lot of remixes, and I think it was a good way to improve my technical skills when my compositional skills weren't quite there. But I really don't like doing much remixes these days, I rather focus on my own musical ideas instead and work to get all that unfinished material completed (and there's A LOT of it). I started working on this about a year ago and finished it around may 2020, so this took a while to get out, but at least now the "springy" / summerish mood fits again. When Solarstone offered this to me, he asked me something that would work in the clubs. I probably started out writing a big massive supersaw driven (more steroidy if you will) track, but I quickly fell back to my more progressive mellow atmospheric ways. So it became something in between, which might be nothing for anyone or interesting because of it. Compositionally it's pretty true to the original, with some chord changes but still in that first ionian mode of C major, which is pretty much the happiest scale there is. The production idea is a wall of sound type of approach with the arp lead, there are multiple synth layers (saw plucks, acid etc) playing the same arp lead. To make it work without sounding too muddy a lot of eqing has had to be done which could possibly lead some sounds sounding thin to someone. The second part of the track is my homage for M.I.K.E. Push's late 90's early 2000's sound, almost all sounds get switched up at that point, new kick, new bassline, new lead synths, so that part might sound out of place for some, but I just wanted to have a unique switch up there. The big difference to M.I.K.E. tracks is of course that this roots to Major while his older tracks are very minor chord based, and thus more darker and melancholic.

Anyway hope this gives a little bit of insight to production and compositional choices, oh and don't forget to listen to the original track too!

Yeah, I could hear that and atleast I do appreciate it. Thats why I said yours is more interesting in terms of arrangement while the coredata remix is more repetitive and subtile ala old platipus. But thanks for the post, its nice to read.

I dont like the Original track. Never liked that 125 ish slow really clean produced "trance". Its so slow and chugging. pLOD!

Edit: Actually your remix reminds me a little of simon berrys (rather than M.I.K.E.) more happy platipus sound in the millenium days. Dont know why but especially the Dawnseekers mix of Breath.

Edit: Theres another one in plaitpus catalog it reminds even more of. Im leaning towards a later remix of some of the art of trance classics.
