What can be said about this one?
Tuvan (Andy Blueman remix) has probably been at the top of trance lists since its release. As with anything that becomes popular, it's easy to think of it as overrated. In my opinion, it's really good. Tuvan strikes a fine balance between the Andy Blueman uplifting style and the darker Egyptian/Middle Eastern aesthetic.

I never understood the Andy Blueman Remix. I just don't hear any Tuvan in it. Must be me, as it's praised so much. I think the production isn't very good. At lets say 6:00, it's hard to hear what you actually hear. The sounds are so muddy, that it's difficult to even tell another chord is playing. It's like... what's the melody? Cuz I can't hear the notes changing properly. It's in there, I know, but it's so loud and muddy...

(Yes, exaggerating a little bit to make my point)

As for Tuvan. The original is great, and the Gareth Emery Remix was pretty nice as well. A true modern classic.

I actually had the same concerns about the climax of the Andy Blueman remix (5:07 onwards). Whoever mastered this track really messed it up. The breakdown is too loud, and when the rest of the instruments appear the elements from the breakdown suddenly become quiet and everything feels muddy and convoluted. There is too much going on.
That being said, I'll take it over the original version any day. The original is too ASOT-y in its chord progression and style. A few tracks back then were produced with that same aesthetic (ex. Shogun - Skyfire) and they all feel like they were written by the same person.

Andy Blueman's tracks were always absolutely rammed full of layers, too much so in my opinion. It's no wonder engineers struggled to balance them all in the mix.

This is actually the only track/remix of his I have any time for. I like it when remixers go off course from the original, and this has quite a dark theme in contrast to the ultra-fluffy "uplifting" stuff he'd normally turn out.

as far as I remember, in the year of release hate Blueman's version. better than this, was a Gareth's Remix. But in the maintime realised, all tracks are pure magic! Anyway original is for me best trance track! Does anybody know, if extended version was released? Thinking about this from first aired:
