Ugh.. hipster sounds

I mean this is not trance for real trance enthusiasts. Its what anjuna has been promoting for the average middleaged white club-goer. Its as boring as the conversation in the lunch room at work.

Yeh not for me. Found the foundations just boring and formulaic. Take away the vocals bit Id find it hard to say this was the classic 1995 track we know.

Bit harsh calling it crap. I think it's nice, was moving a little in the chair. Def better than majority of Anjuna releases. House mix also enjoyable.

Not Trance though, yeah... even if the remix title wants to have us believe that. Doesn't satisfy the Trance gremlin within. Electronic music is really just feeling too safe now isn't it? Across all the genres. Feels like it's the next best way to make cash if you dont want to pursue the commercial/big-room/cheese sounds. Dont know if It's the hipsters that make it work, more likely a pool of general edm majority folk . Anjuna is king of this space right now.

Stupid remix title, but not bad. I'm not sure if it got posted here but I quite liked Simon Doty's recent Anjunadeep release "Trance Tool":

I think I got an explanation for the title. I still can't write songs 'on purpose'. Some of my songs start from chords/bassline/arp and maybe melody and sometimes I envision the song in a certain style at the beginning but sometime after I find it due to sounds I used a completely different style then I originally intended. So a name like that makes sense to be accidental creation.
