really kick dominant, and whats up with the white noise? whats the weird interfences in the background? feels like ive heard that melody thousands (more than once or twice though ;)) of times also..

activa alias prolly btw.

edit: the most generic release ive heard from borderline im afraid

Surprising to hear such track on Borderline. So far every track on this label was crystal clean, while this one is quite loud, white nois-ish and also bit steroid. All in all it has the typical Activa feel to it, so I like it obviously, but its definitely different :)

Yeah its different from rest of the recent borderline tracks where the melodies were clean and simple, this track has a powerful intro and energetic melody

Sample is very promising. Looking forward to this.

I take back my comment about the volume/mastering. It sounds much more balanced/punchy on other platforms than the original bp sample. Very pvd/vandit. The melody I find pretty substandard still. Doesnt really excite me. And the arrangement/build/structure is very predictible/basic. Has good energy though, when everything comes about, i'll give it that!

Doesn't feel sledgehammer to me, but does have good meat. I actually love that kick/bass combo. The melodies always seem too basic for me on Borderline releases, like i'm just waiting for it to come in the breakdown, do its thing and then continue on as the beat drops. Bit robitic, no sign of counter melodies, 2nd melodies or proper shifts in mood. The main melody here does develop a little I guess. Find a sense of journey hard to come by with Borderline releases, but Activa probably not going for that to be fair.

Pretty much agreed here. I feel like if you told me this was on the Vandit or maybe early Discover catalog, I wouldn't be surprised, but I probably also wouldn't save it to my collection. Knowing it's from 2022 though makes it stand out a bit more but the melody still feels a bit weak.
