My name is Diego, in my 30's, and have been listening to trance since I was 12 and fell in love with it. The trance from the late 90's and early 2000's have left quite an impression on me. While modern trance has it's own unique style, I've always been old school and mark that time as the best time for trance music. Maybe I'm also just getting old!

A lot of my influences are from the first trance albums I listened to: Ibiza Euphoria, mixed by Matt Darey and The Best Trance Anthems Ever, mixed by John 00 Fleming. Some labels I love are Hooj Choons, Platipus, Xtravaganza, Noom Records, Bonzai, Frequency 8, etc. Just classic trance, really.

I wanted to register here, introduce myself, and connect with fellow trance heads who share the same sentiment. I'm also a producer that goes by the alias "Second Nature" and wanted to see if anyone else is producing old school or cybertrance in 2020! Please let me know if there are some artists, I would love to hear their music. I always go on YouTube to listen to classic trance and the comments are always mentioning things like, "they don't make this kind of music anymore," or "I miss this kind of trance." Hoping to fill that void with the music I produce.

As of now, I'm compiling music to eventually release, hopefully around the new year. I'm nearly finished with a full length album and would also love to share it with the community and contribute to help keep the lost sound of early 2000's trance alive.

Looking forward to connecting with you all and participating in the forum :)

- Diego

Welcome man, look forward to hearing your music. Is it cybertrance/hardtrance stuff?

Thanks Hensmon! It's a mix of melodic cybertrance and the uplifting trance of the classic late 90's to early 2000's trance. The album has 8 tracks and I literally just crossed the hour threshold last night. Will be working on a few more editing and mastering sessions, and then onwards to mixing all the tracks to create a continuous mix version, and then releasing a non-mixed version of the album.

I joined Trancefix partly to help seek out others who would still remember that particular trance sound, of whom would also be interested to give the album a listen and support it, but honestly it's just nice to be part of a community who dig the same music that I like. I don't really post too much on social media and I thought that going with forums would be more comfortable for me since it's old school, haha.

Wellcome and I would also love to hear your music too. I am also pretty new to the forum, but I highly encourage you to share some music in the Music Production & Mixing section. I am trying to make my first steps as producer too myself but just starting( I actually prefer djing). BTW is your syle similar to Brioni Faith, maybe?

@Recharge Thanks for the the kind words! I will post when it's ready and plan to actually release my work independently and distribute it via DistroKid. My style isn't similar to Brioni Faith, which sounds more like pop/vocal trance to me.

I produce more along the lines of classic trance instrumentals made near the millenium (PvD, Blank & Jones, Vincent de Moor, Chicane, Rank 1, Corsten, etc.) with some hard trance/cybertrance influences (DJ Energy, Ralph Fridge, Nostrum, etc.). I just love the TB-303 acid and hard trance sound. The term cybertrance was what that music was called where I grew up, so it may have a different meaning elsewhere, since it's tagged with Faith's music.

I've been producing on and off and released a few singles and EP's from a few different aliases. I released an album called "Circular Infinity" last year under the name JD which has trance influences, but incorporates trap and bass music elements as well. I also did a Lo-Fi Hip Hop/Chilled EP called "Last Sunset on Earth" under the same name in 2017, though it was a smaller release on Bandcamp. All easily searchable through Google if you wanna check 'em out.

I decided to hop on trance again since very few artists still make music with that old school sound and I simply missed it, haha. Little did I know that other people felt the same way, so I figured I would make that type of trance.
