Hey guys, this is a track I started over a year ago and recently picked it up again.
I'm not too sure about some of the sounds and could use the help of some fresh ears.

Cheers and thanks in advance.

You have such an ear for smooth lush sounds. This track is full of them.
The melody is lovely, and the other notes / chords on other sounds too. Great arpeggios (sublime Infact) . Nice shape to the bass.

Lovely emotion to the track. Beautiful.

I would make the track a few mins longer though.

Regarding the production, I’d say to elevate the track, there could be differentiations in eq/compression or slightly brighter (higher filter levels depending on the kind of filters used) just to make some sounds burst out and add ooomph (if you want that) - I can tell the core sounds used and made are lovely, so great core sounds have been created or chosen… but for that energy Impact (sound wise) there could be more fire in places.

Overall all the qualities are there in both ‘you’ and this track (with some tweaks) to produce the finest ’Magic’.
… It’s magical already.

Thanks mate, strangely this might just be the easiest part for me 😂

It's going to be, the aim is at least 6 to 7 minutes.

I agree but I was too tired yesterday and still I had to share.
Adding some more oomph would do the track good but I think it has to be subtle to keep the 'dreamy' vibe going.

Thanks again mate, it really means a lot 🙏

Made progress on the track as it's at full length now. Added a few elements, made the baseline a tad more present and added an outro.

Sounds better (to my ears ) dude. I really think you’ve created a complete banger here mate. Such beautiful emotion. Definitely send to labels I’d say.

Be interested in what @Hensmon @Jetflag and @Julian Del Agranda @Archon @Progrez @LostLegend think.
I’d list the whole of the regular folks here but the list would be huge lol

Will listen on my pc later. It's too hot now ;)
Then I can comment on the production better.

I fear the production is a bit thin. While the kick seems 'big', modern, with a big thump, the rest of the track is not 'big'. So not sure if I like that contrast (big kick + thin 'small' intimate styled track). Will come back on the production later.

From what I hear: it has nice percussion, cool unique FX, that voice-ish thing is nice. Good atmosphere. Melodies itself are very nice. Synth choices are nice.

The breakdown is too long. Well, the lenght can be fine, but then I would change a few things. Now the lead comes in at 3:30. I would do at 2:40.
Then: the way it goes into the climax at 4:00 / 4:15 is too minimalistic in my opinion. There are only a few kicks (a kick-roll) before the 'take off'. You could do various things to make that more interesting.

For example: I would take the last couple of notes from that lead and repeat those for a bar. And remove the 4 strings-esque synth in that part. God this is difficult to explain in words lol. Lets try this way:

A = Background pads and 4 Strings-esque synth
B = Bigger lead, sort of super8 & tab ish.

Your breakdown is now:
A > A > A + B slowly coming in > A +B > Take off.

I would do this:
A > A + B slowly coming in > A + B > B (repeat the last few notes of B, play with the cut-off, make it sound small and slowly go big again) > take off.

I think the breakdown would feel less long (while same lenght), and build more tension towards your climax.

////

TL DR: Nice track. Dont'forget: big replies usually mean: Nice, good potentional, exited by what I hear.

Jeez... thanks dude 😊

This gives so much fuel to put in the track and get it up a bunch of levels.

I appreciate it 🙏🏻

Secret links seem to give issues. I heard twice now that incognito works @Jetflag
gottit, that did the trick, thanks.

Still not working for you?
works now:

I for the most part agree with Julians assesment, mainly on the sequencing and " fullness" of most sounds. some sounds are fine, others are a tad thin.

I do not know which equipment you boast but try running some tutorials on how to increase (or decrease) the presence of certain sounds and mixing those in properly. (one thing you could for instance do with the "80's synth" melody is duplicate it, decrease the attack and increase the release a lot on the copy, reverb it, lower the volume to taste, and then throwing both sounds over a combi-channel with a compressor on it, this will massively increase its " size" without making it to blurry per se, depending on the volume settings) There's loads of stuff online like delay-saturation-reverb pipeline techniques.

After that what I would do is determine for yourself (using reference tracks if neccesairy) which elements in the mix you think need to be front and center, and which can go to the " back of the podium" so to speak. (one technique of placing something more in the background of a mix is for instance to use reverb and lower volume or cutting certain frequencies)

All in all big potential, just not quite there yet. 👌

Thanks dude! 🙏🏻

Togheter with Julian's advice this also gives an extra boost to get cooking it some more and put in more love and attention in to it.

I will definitely will have a look in to the different techniques.

Mijn dank is groot... for both @Julian Del Agranda and you 🙏🏻

Got some work in to it today.

@Jetflag & @Julian Del Agranda took your advice and I think I'm on the right track even though the build up to the climax still can be better...
