hello. i was looking for a forum for electronic music for at least a week, i like listening to hip-hop and electronic music. i don't listen to trance a lot yet however.

i found the subgenre that's mostly frontpaged here (uplifting trance is it?) to be too cheesy and it has too much 909 for me. though i will admit that i am far more drawn towards songs which clashes with my current mood. i don't know why people still (it was a bit more understandable back then) use the 909 for electronic dance music like it's the last remaining drum machine on earth. i hope we see a new influential drum machine.

Go in to the classic section and look at earlier releases, especially around 1995 time period. There is good non-uplifting music to be found around 2000-2004 too
