Excellent Breeder-style progressive trance with haunting vocals and a dark soundscape.

Part 2 version:

Fade remix:

Part 1 is available in this mix from 19:51 - 25:53. This original version is lighter than the more progressive Part 2/ Fade versions.

Enjoying them all, will need a few more listens but I think I'm feeling the Fade Remix the most. Weird for Part 1 to only appear on one compilation and nowhere else, not even on an EP (according to Discogs, anyways).

It was going to be bundled with Paul van Dyk - Avenue of Stars, but the acetate was never released and never made it to a label.

According to a Youtube comment on Avenue of Stars,
Fun fact: Paul van Dyk was planning on releasing an album called "Avenue of the Stars" that would've been released in 1999 but due to conflicts with him and MFS founder Mark Reeder, the album was scrapped. What ended up was Paul leaving MFS and started his own label, Vandit Records in the same year of the scrapped album's release, 1999. Some of the tracks originally planned for "Avenue of the Stars" would end up on PVD's third studio album, "Out There and Back" which was released in 2000.
So Forsaken (Part 1) must have been swept up in this PvD/MFS conflict, which is why it never saw a formal release.
