The Original really tugs on the emotions for me, even after all these years. Paul Van Dyks mix might be the best Trance track ever made.

Just noticed, holy crap
To be fair, it's less noticeable in the Airwave remix, which is the version I'm more familiar with. The original version is much closer to the PvD mix of Love Stimulation.
Anyways, for original vs. PvD mix:
The original feels very much like a '90s track, especially due to the synth at 3:02. PvD's mix feels more timeless, as if it's aged better (though both do sound like they're from the 90s).

I think Airwave must have been inspired by it. It's one of his favourite classics.

This is nice. Cool sounds and simple atmospheric vibes. Curious is a good name for it. Has some sounds you might not expect, has a nice playful innocence also.
Anyone notice how the piano is done in the exact same style as for love stimulation?

Totally agree. 90’s pvd is just so formulaic.
Dayglow on the other hand has that emotional melody that is very emotional that it’s just very feeling. It gives that tingle in my left toe that only REAL trance can do. The arrangement is also very wel balanced and has that emotion thingy with lots of soul and feelings

Never quite got around with the hype around this track. It's a good vibe and a reminder how authentic trance used to sound around the early 90's but it never made the difference with hundreds of far less known hidden gems released in the same era. Oliver Lieb's mix may contend in a pretty decent progressive category but PvD Mix (and I know how many would kill me for less than that) pretty much defines the word "overrated" IMO

Don't get me wrong, I have the CD but IMO never did it for me. Just not my thing. Again you know how much I like to dig into rare niche material that can sometimes be very far from Trance. And you indeed guessed right as I mostly dig 1998-2002 music, well on 12'' at least.
The only versions i ever cared about are Oliver Liebs soft mix which is by far the best version of this track, as well as the KayCee version and Liebs clubmix. All other versions, including the pvd is pretty meh. They are all to soft for my taste
