... and checked the old forum daily to be up to date. But now a new era begins and it is time to come out of hiding and post my opinion every now and then.
Hello there from Hesse in Germany! :)
I am sure that the new forum will be at least as awesome as the old one has been. Can't wait to see a thread for the upcoming Blue Soho compilation!

Thx for the warm welcome!

Labskaus is actually one of my favourite foods, although I'm not from northern Germany and many people I know are disgusted by it. I don't know how popular it is in Denmark. ;)

Oh I definitely know labskaus - I like it a lot! It's not popular where I live, but in the most southern cities people enjoy it as well.

At least in my family it is made out of corned beef. I never heard of using raw meat for Labskaus, but maybe I'll try it out someday. ;)
Personally, I add a whole glass of capers to it because it fits really well. And I LOVE capers. But with capers it is the same as for Labskaus or raw meat: You like it or hate it, there is nothing in between.

Ah, looks like raw meat so that's why I thought so. Raw meat is a bit unsafe, right? Would like to try it, though.

In Germany, eating raw meat is very safe I'd say, as there are very strict controls. Labskaus is made out of beef and raw beef is quite popular here - Carpaccio is part of almost every buffet. :)
We also really like Mett, made out of raw pork, but I don't know if there are any other countries where they eat raw pork. Most people are like "What's wrong with you guys?" :D
But isn't this a welcome thread? This probably belongs to the Off-topic section. We could start a thread in there like "What's your favorite crazy food " or something. :D (Just kiddin'. But I also eat innards of all kind. And my grandma's tripe-soup is legendary!)

TranceFix 2.0 is hardly a week old, and now Soholand 2 is happening? :p If the Soholand 2 thread will be just half as exciting as the thread for the original one...

Damn, raw meat? Really? Could not imagine myself eat that. I've known people to eat brains, kidneys, eyes, balls and whatnot...but raw meat? Just straight-up ground muscle? No curing, no smoking, nothing?
