Is this ready for a label?

Hello 👋

I've been working on this track for quite a while and was hoping to have it signed to a label, but I'm questioning if it's interesting enough in terms of arrangement and melody. Obviously going for the late 90's trance sound as you can hear. I would love any feedback as to how I can improve it, or if it's possibly ready to send to label as a demo.

This is nice. Everything flows naturally. Love how that signature synth/rhythmic sfx at 00:15 sets the theme. Main melody may have earworm potential.

The mixing somehow reminds me of Foamek's Supra MK4. But some synths here feel a bit loud, especially in the mid-hi. However, I'm currently listening through cheap earphones, so that might not be valid.

Maybe TFR is interested? @Hensmon

Very very positively surprised by the bassline here. But more important than that, you keep it up throughout the track. Very nice.
Maybe TFR is interested?
I'd mark the track as private and send it to @Hensmon directly indeed. I've also pinged him about this track.

Haha, is it ready for a demo................... what a joke. It's an excellent piece of work. One of the best posted here! It sounds very good, melody is fine.

My thoughts: It's excellent, but maybe some parts are a bit too "dry" (no reverb/delay). Like the clap, could do with a bit of reverb.
I think that "techy" synth, the one that's played at 5:50, could do with a bit more reverb and delay. It's pretty dry.

I think the hi-hats are a bit too loud in the mix, the crash specifically, could do with 2/3 db less.
That drum effect thing around 12 seconds, also too loud, also like 2db less.

Remove the piano at 6:19. You don't want such a prominent thing in the outro, I don't think it's usefull for mixing purposes.

I don't like the piano in general, would remove the whole layer to be honest. Or maybe try a different piano sound that fits better with the synth.

Wow, a lot more positive feedback than I expected! You know when you've worked on a track so long, you start to question if it's good? I was at that point.

Really appreciate the mixing tips and will look at addressing those issues.

Track has been set to private as there's been some interest ;)

Personally don't think the piano needs to be removed. Track is already on the bare side, so removing musical elements I don't agree with.

There was an intentional element of subtle 'cheese' written into this track, to capture that late 90's essence, and the piano was one of the sounds meant to fill this role. I'll keep it in there.

Piano could do with some fixing though, if we’re being extremely critical. Keep the midis/ Melodie’s (they are lovely). But maybe just change the sound a bit. More low end cut..Bit softer, less honky tonk/housey.

If you are looking for a more tunable/ soft free alternative for a piano plugin, I can recommend this.

Thanks for the plugin recommendation. Will look at reworking the piano to make it softer.
