John '00' Fleming - The 10th Life / The Astrophysical Nebula [2012]

When this EP released it really changed my view of what Psychedelic Trance had to offer. I only listened to Trance and always thought psy to me too silly or found goa a touch hectic. This was Trance music but trippy and it completely blew me away. From that point I went on a huge binge of the JOOF sound and other artists who might also touch on a similar sound. It's rare. John would tour Australia frequently and I would always be there waiting to hear music like this. He has a new album coming out this year and I pray it captures some of this again, it is missing from Trance music.

Astrophysical nebula had a bigger impact at the time, but I always found the 10th Life to be the one I come back to the most. Which one is your favorite?

JOOF is one of few producers who managed to blend psy and regular trance in a perfect way. I think the Artifact303 remix of 10th life are among my most listened trance tracks for the past few years.
