Always love when John does staccato melodies, he really nails them, especially when he combines them with some liquid sounds. Not sure on the vocal part, although I appreciate that they're very different from your fluffy trance that we get 99% of the time

Haha, well sadly old timers like us have two choices: continue to live in the past (which I do quite often, I objectively prefer trance from 97-2004) or try to look at the few exceptions in today's scene (despite them not having as big of a differentiator factor as stuff from the golden age).

Also, I'm heavily biased towards some artists because I love the nature of their sound design, so anybody that's a PVD clone of sorts gets more positive remarks from my end

Although I wish there was a Dub Mix of this, it's one of the first vocal tracks in ages that I don't actually mind. Big fan of the lead.
