I don't really get this "the longer the better" approach a lot are sharing here, if a track sounds good at 5 minutes long - it's because it has enough content to keep things interesting for 5 minutes. if you add more loops and repetitions to make it 8-9 minutes long - it won't be better, in fact it will be worse - boring, static
and vice versa, if a track has a lot of ideas and catchy elements, enough for 7-8 minutes, but it's all squeezed and rushed to be 4-5 minutes long for streaming reasons - it's just as bad
the key is the composition, not the length itself
