If it wasn't already apparent that Lange was off his rocker, these track titles should give you a solid clue.
Yes he's gone a bit weird since COVID. I follow him on Twitter and I kind of wish I did'nt. I don't mind anyone having their own opinions on things but I just wish he would use his Lange account for music and not personal stuff. I'm interested in his music not his thoughts on world conspiracies. The never meet your idol analogy comes to mind here for a Twitter digital age.....

Anyhow I don't like the tune.

Not sure what Lange has going on. Haven’t checked his tweets etc. Shame if he has gone a bit awry. Hes the only Trance maga star ive met. Last summer at a classic trance at bournmouth academy. O2. He must be mad, but i only say this because he had flown to the uk from finishing a gig he did in ibiza & had no sleep in 24 hours and finished the O2 set at 3am. He seemed lovely to me when we chatted but to have that lifestyle. Its got to play Havok. Its scary to think how many DJ’s do that.

Bit daring calling the title God Loves Truth. Its a bit restrictive too. Well, not exactly restrictive but i cant think of a word for it.
The Music’s interesting though, i rather like it. Credit for being different with this music.

I do hope he hasn’t got into stuff that’ll lead him to utter Mahem with his beliefs etc.

I wouldn't worry. He seems sane to me. Always seemed a nice guy. There's some people out there who can't bear it when they see others speak against the grain, but it takes courage and determination to speak out. It is much easier to stick to what is generally accepted, and in this age, the fishing nets are quickly closing in on alternative opinions.

"What you don't like, ignore it and do what you want instead" is what I was taught when I was young, and it applies to most things in everyday life. Somebody's political opinion should be just one small part of their wide overall persona. Hopefully Stuart's creative talent and his gigging persists for years to come and he doesn't feel the need to just be a mouthpiece. That's when I'd worry about someone.

The tune here is decent, has a place in a set somewhere at the right moment, but I'm looking forward to hopefully more of what he did with 'Together'.

I would post something opinionated and relevant (ánd probably unnecessary longwinded) here.

but then I read @proxi ’s post and figured there’s no point repeating a 10 out of 10 comment

I disagree with some of the sentiments above.

I have absolutely no issue with him having his beliefs but don't impose them through your artist moniker, keep it separate to your own personal page.

Music and Trance in particular to me is escapism, I remember during the worst and most depressing phases of the pandemic turning to trance to escape and the Noble Six who I was a big fan of was peddling political stuff through his platforms nonstop to a point I had to stop following him.

Social media has enough ranting angry men without Trance producers turning their music platforms into such channels. Stick to the music under your artist platforms and do whatever you like in your personal profiles. I don't follow these guys to hear their political viewpoints, I follow for music.

Yeah I also wouldn't trust a, no offense, music producer to tackle a sociological/political/whatever problem, see it from multiple perspectives, and offer an adequate solution. They just give an (often basic and biased) opinion, probably just agreed to someone else's similar rant and thus validated their own beliefs, sharing them as the truth.

If they could, trance scene would be in a much better state first, let alone the world. Clean your own room first!

And that is very much fair enough (y)

But to counterpoint that a little bit, and speaking ás an artist who has many differing opinions politically/ culturally etc. as opposed to "the flock".

If you're by all rights and privilege, only there for the music(s). I would suggest sticking to following only music platforms. e.a. Beatport, Label websites etc.

Social media is by definition Social, and artists or actors are a "brand" uppon themselves to do with as they please. This is also why prior to deleting everything social media, I didn't follow any moviestar or music artist outside from what they churned out creatively.

If an artists say: chooses to make a song (or rant) about his home country Ukraine being attacked, or an earthquake in Sendai, I don't think "fans" are entitled or in any position to demand that he or she shouldn't. They can however opt to ignore it.

its crap 🤷‍♂️ and yes I agree it would be better if left alone, But I don't think it should be asked of them not too.

No that's fair, I take your points.

I don't feel I should have to stick to just beatport though for example. I genuinely really like to support Trance artists in any way I can even if in my own little way I feel I am helping by boosting an artists numbers on a social media platform and liking a new track or giving a positive interaction but like @Gagi says if some artists could focus more energy on improving some of the issues in the scene rather then trying to fix the worlds problems as they view them we might be better off.

I think there could perhaps be a distinction between someone expressing an opinion in a certain circumstance but the two previous artists mentioned felt like they were trying to impose an agenda pretty much 24/7 with a following like me who would have chosen to follow and support them as artists.

If only some of the social media discussions were this civil😂

It's self-fulfilling in the long run. Lange will ultimately cultivate a fanbase entirely of conspiracy theorists and associated nutters while the normal folks like you and me quietly back away and leave him to his strange troubles. Perhaps it's a conscious business decision, it is a demographic that seems to be most easily parted with their money.

In typing that, my phone just autocorrected "Lange" to "Kanye".

Ooooh that autocorrect is gold!! I’ve had my fill of anti this and anti that with no evidence whatsoever. I face it a lot as an expert in my field. If these nutters turn their own lens on themselves you’d think they’d evaluate their BS as exactly that, but they don’t, because they decided their view have then gone searching for ‘evidence’ to support it, and guess what?? Found it in other nutters unsubstantiated ramblings on the internet. The first time I found myself defending peer reviewed science against ‘google’ was pretty worrying. The biggest issue here is it’s not ok to let these people have the loudest voice and start to influence the narrative. The truth is that which is established scientifically, by questioning and testing until satisfactory based on an agreed set of rules, and is testable by multiple independent analyses returning the same result (we do this as a species). And, critically, remains testable and up for scrutiny. In the first paper I got published I made it REEEEEALLY clear what I did and didn’t know for certain, to promote questions and further work. Once we question that method, we are fucked
