"What's going on? Snake...? SNAAAAAAKKKKKKEEEE!!!!!"

This is a track I made about 6-8 months ago for my artist mix and it's been sitting around my computer ever since.
I recently shared it with a few other Trancefixers over on the Whatsapp group and made a few alterations based on their feedback, and this is the result.

So in case you haven't guessed, this sample the track 'The Best is Yet to Come' by 'Aoife Fhearraigh' which was used in the 'Metal Gear Solid' OST, hence the track title ;)

It's nice. Reminds me a bit of maybe Bolier and Estuera from 2006 or so, even though it's prog.

However, it's a bit flat - and I don't mean it by modern standards, this is not that kind of flat. What I mean is, even though the arrangement is good, I just miss maybe the melody going a bit up and down with volume, filters etc. Some expressiveness, I think that's the word I'm looking for. So far everything is where it should be, it progresses and builds smoothly, can't fault you for anything obvious. But maybe that expressiveness, personality, richness, surprise factor is what could make it much better, and I'm not talking about just the melody. Ok, you're not a full-time pro, so maybe this is something where you can improve?

And since it reminds me of Bolier/Estuera, I would love to hear this with some more pace and energy...the melody is asking for it!

Nice job man, yet again. Enjoyed it the first time and have come back to it again. Some feedback that comes to mind, but really I think its just very small things and likely subjective anyway;

Think you have done great improvements since sharing in whatsapp, especially in leading more cleverly to the breakdown with those awesome vocals rather than just dropping them out of nowhere. Your main synth is fantastic too, sounds so nice and the melody is simple but effective.

Gagi is probably right about small touches in variation here and there, and actually I wonder if the supporting melodic parts could be more pronounced or take the reins in sections to help with the energy he talks about. The climax section (6:00 mins onwards) I can hear some secondary synths stabbing through but not enough! I want to really hear and feel those as the second melody, it sounds good!
