I would also say some more variation (and occasional breathing room) in the beats would've definitely been an improvement. That said, it's a phenomenal set/mix/compilation track, but even on its own it's interesting enough for me as-is.

Like, if this comes on Spotify while I'm working or studying, I won't skip, but it's not something I would seek out on my own

Wow. Some (in comparison to the usual comments) positive feedback from Daysleeper AND TOTW. Mission accomplished. :D

All his new tracks in this style are enjoyable but need some more variation to take it to the next level. Like the deep and atmopsheric nature to them though. Good in a mix but cmon he can elevate this for sure.

I can really imagine how you were sitting there, sweating, not blinking and having a big tremor in your fingers - just praying that you don't miss the moment when to post this track ..lol..

As for the track, very very boring and repetitive, the track I dislikes the most. I prefer old style of Lostly

I think, not being a DJ that this track will do really well in a set. as something just on its own? not so much for me.

love the textures/ambient though.

Usually like Lostly’s tracks most of the times but I have to agree with the sentiments being shared here, track feels very repetitive and boring.

YES, exactly that! they need to breathe more / introduce variation around the main melody/meat of the track, same can be said about some Activa tracks or Will Atkinson tracks (in the past they certainly used to breathe more) to make it less robotic. (apart from Activa - Tri-Series/Future memory collab/EP is perfect the way it is and also It Never Ends/When the mask falls)

Edit: maybe this one needs more listens...

Sounds great on the big speakers. A little on the repetitive side, but in the context of using it in a set, could work really well if you wanna take things into a darker, groovier place for a while!

Superb. The electro sound pattern on top of the bassline keeps the energy flowing throughout. Then you don't need much by way of other effects. Indeed he keeps it relatively simple by introducing subtle strings and pads, plus the odd chord. And the percussion works well alongside to drive the track and add some oomph to it. It all blends well into an atmospheric yet energetic product. Very clever piece of music that requires thought and talent. Well done Lostly.

Has potential but falls pretty flat. Some oldschoolish gated pads and arps would do wonders

Right, well, its got everything it needs to succeed in being a great track, but it doesn't do enough to make me interested to come back. Where is the musical identity or emotion. Atmospherically it is pretty rad but some small but significant changes to the mood would make all the difference.
