Label: Borderline
Cat.#: BORDM063
Release Date: 19.08.2022

Luke Terry has been releasing steadily since the early 00’s with tracks on the likes of Subculture, Monster, In Trance We Trust and more.

His latest release (and first on Borderline) comes in the form of a classic, Gatecrasher-sounding, epic trance track by the name of Cryosphere and was snapped up as soon as the demo was sent through.
Haunting vocals and a melancholic feel are the name of the game for Cryosphere and we are sure you’ll agree; it sounds like nothing else!

Sounds promising indeed, no surprise thats quite clean and oldschool, cause thats what characterise this label :)

Oh myyyyy. I just came from his other release thread (FSOE) and commented how I liked his different approach but this one here is even better and by far.

Literally was about to post this one, it's pretty good and one of the most refreshing ones of the year.

Pretty nice! Not overwhelmed but will give it more plays.

Fantastic, great to see Luke on Borderline. I hope Activa can persuade more guys from the FSOE, blackhole, PURE world to his label and get them doing more serious Trance music. Would love to see Stoneface and Terminal, Will Atkinson or Hoopoe there.

Also Sean Tyas, Paul Miller, N20 and Daniel Kandi. This track sounds like it came out on the Pure Trance label. Luke has been back recently for a while Cosmological under Captured sun alias on Infrasonic pure is complete fire! but this one is REALLY strong.

Currently listening to Captured Sun - Crystal Sky, Paper Moon (flows like a river).

has potential....

BUT

not really there for me. needs a stronger arrengement, more texture and fuller sound, change up the rhythms a bit more. I like the melodic line changes, but they just sits right in the middle of a pretty weak/uninteresting build and outro. So it doesnt really sound like a full complete track to me.

Easily the best release on Borderline so far. I've found their other releases pretty average. This one is full of late 90s Gatecrasher vibes. Great build up, interesting and deep vocal, and simple but effective main synths. Not a whiff of cheese anywhere. Sequencing, timing and progression could be better but this is best melodic trance I've heard this year.

Winner, rad track. Will be interesting to see at the end of the year which Borderline track will be the one I’ve played and favor the most.

It's just my opinion, but it feels like the tune is too slow.
Feel like it would really come alive at a few BPM up.

The melody is intense, but has not enough energy at that pace, would be really banging at a few BPM more!
