Finally a more typical oldskool EQ from Push. I like!

Definitely like that he went for that vibe, this has potential. However I would say it could've been more complex (and not in a more obvious way). Missing all the small details, but I'll at least give the full thing a chance.

That drop sounds like the old mike push just wish it was throughout the track.

Hmmm. Feels soulless for me. The synth choice had potential but the change up drags out very slowly. Lower bpm doesn't help. There's not one moment I'm thinking where will he take me here...

Listen "Chocolate Infusion", "Strange World (2000) Remake"... I'm not a fan of saying that only older things are better, that past is better... but Mike's music lost a lot in recent years.

I like it and it sounds cool in the style of the old Mike Push. The only problem with modern Mike is that his melodies have no continuation, many of his old works had an interesting tie and by the middle they opened up and changed the whole picture of the track, but now it sounds rather monotonous.

They do seem to center around one main "melody" a lot.

His melodies still has that continuation in almost every of his melodic track. The problem is the chord progressions, which are sometimes a bit wierd and unexpected. He used to be better with melodies..

Anywayz..
Its quite good, would fit well under Push alias.
Seems like his current vision is Mike PUSH = prog trance, melodic techno and PUSH = techno
Should have been the other way around or at least he should use differnet alias for the techno releases. Doesnt really make sense to release tracks like Straight To The Point under Push guise. Its not fair to release a simplistic 3 notes melody techno track under the same guise like Strange World etc...

While this track is a step in the right direction (how many times have we said this in the past 5 years or so with MIKE???) the chord progression and complexity is miles behind a track like Elements of Nature, We Are!, Canvas or Natural Source. I took on purpose these tracks as reference because during the early 2010s MIKE was experimenting a lot with slower, more electro-ish productions, yet the melodies were as well crafted as during his space-trance years.

Also, speaking of the continuous butchering of MIKE Push aliases:
- Push always has been, and should remain associated with space trance
- Plastic Boy always has been, and should stick to softer, progressive-infused space trance
- M.I.K.E. always has been, and should remain the experimental alias
- Solar Factor always has been, and should remain the dark/tech trance alias

This needs to be of a higher tempo. I don't think the slow, heavy beats suit the futuristic-sounding supersaws. A faster techier version with more energetic drums may work. As with most modern Mike tracks, this one lacks a identity of its own, despite one or two promising elements.

Like this a lot. One of MIKE's better tunes in a while. Though I agree that it would benefit from a higher tempo.
