Bigozerki I used to make those compilations just for fun. There’s a lot of similar material there, all in the style of old Coldharbour and Electronic Elements. By the way, there’s an Easter egg: a few tracks that I wrote back when I was still in school using FL Studio :D

so, so under rated

I also made an edit of this with the vocals from "somewhere" over. This is my fav version of this song, the intro build is so good

Another of the greatest progressive tracks ever. Schulz was unbelievable in 2004

and finally, we can't have a mcprog discussion without....

I love this era of prog and wish this sound didn't die off with cell phones and attention spans. It can mix really well with some of the Saha'esque prog of the late 90's as well, Remember Sunday Club? Hnnng. They don't make em like that anymore. I always assumed though long building tracks were very time-intensive to make, though I don't know there is even an appetite for those tracks in 2025.

Kalafut and Fygle - Lullaby

Pinkbox Special - Nice Guys Finish Last

I have Kalafut and Fygle – Lullaby on vinyl.

This track has a special vibe. I've always loved these long, slowly building tracks. There are still DJs who play long, evolving journeys. And from behind the decks, it always feels more rewarding to let a track really unfold. Not everyone has been absorbed by the drop-centered tech house bubble and a culture where nowadays a 3½-minute track is already called “the extended mix."

I agree about phones killing the vibe. I remember parties where nobody was filming or checking screens, just dancing, really listening, and getting lost in the music ...

I'm not sure the appetite is completely gone. When the setting allows for immersion, people still respond to that slow, evolving storytelling. They just need a fairy to lead the way ...
