This is it, chief.
With its soothing pads, sounds of nature, and relaxing yet playful atmosphere Beachball was likely one of the first tracks that truly evoked the feeling of being at a beach in Ibiza. Beachball and many tracks after it belonged to the "balearic" sound, and Beachball reigns over them.
This track was originally released in a little-known EP from Nalin & Kane, Vol. III. According to one of the comments on Discogs, Beachball was not even the original name, but once the track blew up it adopted the name of its A-side track and saw several dozen commercial releases.

Beachball is one of those timeless trance classics, and I'd even argue as far to say that every person who likes electronic dance music should hear it at least once.

Timeless for sure and definitely a classic in the genre. I have many great memories with Beachball, it may be true that I played it at home every summer from its release. Now im more into the 'Sea Side Mix'.

If this playlist is a good representation of balearic house, then yeah I'd say Beachball is unquestionably trance. It doesn't share many things in common with those tracks (which are great, btw), apart from having a similar balearic vibe.

As carefree as the day I heard it. Why do Trance makes not use bongos or tribal drums anymore like this?

Thats absolutely not true about the track name, a good friend of mine have the first original Superfly release, and the track name is correct.

I recently saw a interview with Andry Nalin in german, he claims that they dont really believed that 'Beachball' will be so huge, so the vinyl release was named 'Vol III' just because it was their 3rd N&K release, even when the track was still not promoted in radio or tv, they have sold 20.000 copies from this first 'Superfly' vinyl release.. after that the track was licensed to Motor (now Kontor), and also to other countries in the world.

Beachball was the 'a-side', here you have the 'b-side' called 'Uncle Aka'

I first heard it in 1998. It was huge in the UK that year and one of the tracks that helped make trance a popular sound in clubland. This paved the way for the massive explosion of trance as the dominant club sound in 1999...
