New UK LIVE Music Venue - created by Sister Midnight

EXCITING MUSIC NEWS.

A few years ago.
A group of ladies and musicians called Sister Midnight started a crowdfunding project to create a community owned live music venue. This is open to all genres of music and DJ’s. They eventually aquired a building in Catford, Lewisham in the UK.
I invested via crowdfunder as it seemed such a wonderful cause and i also had just started performing electronic music at open mic gigs.

I feel that when things are set up with the venue which they have just had success in aquiring. Some members of Trancefix may benefit from getting involved. Perhaps it can be a place to promote the Trance we love. To DJ there and perform live if any of us are into that.
I am super excited.

Sister Midnight’s 2022 round up…​ It’s been quite a year for the team here at Sister Midnight, and we’re ending it on a high with the announcement that all our hard work has paid off, because we’ve secured a site for our venue which is due to open in late 2023! Last week our investors received our new proposals, and we’re thrilled to say that over 99% have chosen to continue with their investment, and support our venture to create the first community owned music in venue in Lewisham! For now, we’re keeping the details under wraps, so if you’re not an investor you’ll have to sit tight until the new year to hear more - but we are VERY excited to share this exciting news with all of you. In 2022, Sister Midnight… • Raised £210K in Community Shares • Raised £75K in Donations & Grants • Gained over 800 Investor Members • Put on 5 incredible gigs, showcasing 30+ local artists & DJs • Welcomed more than 1350 of you to our events • And most importantly, we secured a venue for Sister Midnight Join us for the first community meeting of 2023!​ We’re holding a community meeting on Wednesday the 25th of January at 7pm, at the Fox & Firkin! We’d love you to join us for a presentation on the new proposals, a Q&A with the Directors, and DJs afterwards so we can celebrate this next phase of Sister Midnight’s journey together!
