I like this. Theres some real feeling in some of the tracks if you can put any pre expected predudices to one side. The track ‘For those we lost’ has rather a deep sad haunting feel. If other sounds had been used on these tracks , it would sound interesting. Yes. But probably wouldn’t have the feel. And we have discussed on a thread, why are there no new ideas in trance. …. Well. I admit producers often go for sounds that work. Maybe that’s because others don’t.

I think its got a slightly restrained finish or glean. Too clean perhaps . And i think thats what actually creates the thing people here don’t like. Its too friendly. A dark track (emotionally that is) with a friendly glean doesn't sit quite right. And as we know, this has been a trend in artist albums since Group Therapy the artist album by Above and Beyond, 12 years ago. An album with some great tracks that don’t really stretch your emotions because the finish just almost says. “ Well yeah ive said all this powerful stuff. Big energy stuff, but nah now ive realised i dont mean it as much so heres a sparkling apricot drink” And when listening to stuff like that, tracks with the power stolen because of the finish or general mastering . it almost feels like a con. Beauty wrapped in cheap glitter.

I think I see what you mean and A&B as a group suffer from the same issue.

I personally didn't feel too excited about a lot of the tracks in the album.
Let You Go is pretty nice but then after a few listens I got bored.
Perhaps the one that really sparkles for me is "Good People" feat. Ercola and Aname, it seems to have a bit more texture!

Sounds like what Silk recordings used to be, but with modern Anjuna twist.
