I know this style of prog isn't hugely popular here but every now and then I do get in the mood for it. The Pablo Gargano release from the start of the year was something I've continued to enjoy a good amount (Seasons EP). I think he bring something better than the average release you will find on JOOF. It's for sure still that unremarkable, or lets generously say 'atmospheric' type of prog...

What do you guy think about this one? Some nice moment to be found. Wish the beats on Exposed had more meat and energy to them as I really like the melodic bits. Ancient Sitar my favorite (most driving). I will give these one a chance over the next few months.

Ancient Sitar

Infinity

My Lollipop

Exposed

Huh? I think its quite popular here, definitely much more than the steroid power trance :D
Ancient Star is good, I like these deeper atmospheric tracks in the Basil O Glue style. There is even deeper atmosphere in My Lollipop, which is rather slower in bpm. Exposed seemed way too slow at first, almost chillout, but I like the riff coming near the end of the track and there is even some energy coming in with the riff.

All in all a very good package, my fav is quite clearly Ancient Star and Exposed might be a potential grover....

Seems you attached the wrong track for Infinity.

Digging My Lollipop & Infinity, both feels more proggy and rhythmic than the rest.
Somehow reminds me of early 2010's Mistique Music.

Yeh lollipop and infinity I can dig a bit, less ploddy than the other two and they have balance. Just grinds me when a break introduces a melody then a beat is reintroduced without it. Have to be in a mood for these but these two are better than recent releases, minus the basil one that came out.

I also hear a nod to strange world vocal FX notes in exposed at 3:00.

Oh my I'm loving these as I knew I would. Along with his EP from earlier in the year some of the best prog released this year. The thing with Pablo's productions is that everything is so well defined and sonically spacious. Rhythmically spot on yet FULL of nice little details. Each track offers something unique and different.
Big respect goes out to JOOF for still releasing quality underground material like this in comparison to big names like Ferry, Marcus and Armin who sold out long ago.

I dunno man. Many of us like prog here but I see nothing but disappointment and frustration in the prog release threads, from myself included. It's got so boring and lifeless. Anjunadeep style aint too bad but JOOF went from being a go to source of truth, to almost every release being completely forgettable and mundane. Just my opinion of course ;)

Hesnomn: maybe you are right, but the core of this site is more proggy oriented I guess...

I see Infinity added, and also a very good atmospheric track....but my winner is still Ancient Sitar, nice hypnotic beats and spacey melodies, lovely...

Infinity an Ancient Sitar on first listen. Need a few more plays to see if these really stick.

Nice bump, I had forgotten these and never picked them up digitally. Really grew on my last year, think they are good. Hope he produces some more.

Not bad at all. The Four Seasons EP was actually very good too, but I hadn’t heard these ones
