Now.

Let me make a case for this. (I know I have been praising this)

Errrr....

1.Armins best track!
2.One of the more unique-sounding tracks while being one of the most authentic sounding.
3.Its 138 -140 bpm without being banging, euphoric or climactic, but instead its smooth yet driving, melodic yet subtle.
5.The atmosphere and overall vibe of this track is a bit unusal and very specfic. Its hard to pinpoint but its the perfect middleground track. It almost touches a little bit on the vibe and sound-design we hear in progressive-psytrance from the early 2000's (which is in most cases outright boring) but it combines the grovve and drive and sound-design with the dutch touch of"regular" trance from the period.
6. Its just a classy track for god sake!

Enjoy!

This was inevitable. Surprised it took you so long.

Anyways, the track is really good. At around that period, he really did a lot of that middle-ground trance, as you call it. It's even kinda unique among his works. I'll take a lot of his other stuff from the same period for various other reasons, but this is really quality.

Its a great production - and he made a lot during this period, including the Ayumi 'Appears' dub remix.

His 'peak' years when it came to Trance was 98-03 imo. Other great remixes were 'Too Late To Turn' , 'Time Is The Healer' & 'Sky Falls Down'.

btw,i prefer the vocal version of this, 'Dust Wav'.

I heard it for the first time on the ASOT Classics Vol. 3 comp, I've been loving it ever since! Though like Magdelayna, I prefer its vocal version.

Vocal version of this track:

Tbh the melody (5:38) gives it away that it's from the early 2000s, though it does have a crisp sound that makes it feel a bit more modern than the usual track from its time.
I'm a bigger fan of Blue Fear. Dust.wav is really good, too.

I would say the track closest in style is Armin - Sunburn, though it's more tech-oriented.

Damn, this is a great point. It feels controlled and something to experience as the sun sets. Makes you want to dance and makes you want to think. Uplifting producers need desperately to remember this approach... 138 can still be smooth!
