This is QUITE solid!
Might be the next best thing (top 5 atleast) Ive heard on forescape, and I've never been a fan of the modern deep trance sound on joof, forescape and other simlar labels. a rather fine example of how to make slower, deep trance right, without it becoming a tedious, dull, directionless boring mush of sounds in a uninteresting empty arrangement/structure.
There is some weak moments though, for me personally. I think there could be a couple changes in this to make it even more solid, but the foundation of the track is quite good. Theres a bit more lively set of rhythmic elements that steps it up from the usual plod production, and it has enough varaition to make it sound like a track that is actually an musically engaging track, more than just a "deep" sounding "trance" product. I think it could have changed gears or just loaded with even more stuff in the latter half, insted of the typical drop-to-almost-nothing, and the outro is quite weak, in comparions with the intro/build which I found, nice.
Other things of notice thats a bit generic and musically just a bit weak imo when it comes to"deep" slow trance is that square synth sound that comes in at 1.53. The kick alone stripped away from the bassline and other percs sound rather flat and also a typical slow trance dull flat kick. The hats also sound a bit stock sounding and annoying (very s-sounding) The main lead synth is ok, but a bit flat in terms of melodic quality.
I think the overall detail, layering and more engaging rhytmic variation in this makes it step it up a bit from the normal slow plod trance. Would give this aa solid 6.77 out of 10.
