Cable management, please! 😭
LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL! Agree. The whole thing is still a bit 'modular' for want of a better word. I swap synths in and out of the midi-audio loop as required. What I need to do is get two midi thru boxes and then I can put it into a final configuration and then, get some cable ties...... but then I'll get another synth and it'll be f'ed again

^ nice, the part at 1:50 sounds not TOO far away from Svenson & Gielen-y phat saw main leads.

Those are not to be created with any VST.

Maes used an korg ms2000 for that particular sound. The analog modelling line that accompanied the sample based Triton/trinity series. The x5d is sort of the fiat panda version of that

So now…my studio has had updates.

The ‘Cupboard of Creativity’ (note towels at top of photo 😄) is looking fairly nifty with equipment and i have adorned it with some new speakers. As its a very small space, no speaker will ever sound perfect (without spending rather a lot) so i wanted some just to give my ears a rest from headphones.

They are Creative T100, the only decent budget priced and very narrow speakers i could find which sound ok. Not good monitor standard but are do able for some purposes. (Note the plastic wrapper is still on speakers for my fiancé to tear off, … …Tell me who doesn’t love that satisfying feeling? 😉😁)

I also very recently bought a great controller. Mainly intended for my live open mic nights and what ever live gigs come if I become more established. Or do live streams etc. Akai MPD 232. I haven’t connected it up successfully yet due to my daw Studio One v4 convoluted way of dealing with MIDI. Also a reason I haven’t (very frustratingly) got proper use yet of the wonderful ASM Hydrasynth. Soon tho i will get a MIDI thru box or try figure out my sub zero 4x4 midi box again. Ive very recently found diagrams online that could help so i am at last hopeful of a working studio used to its full capacity. Not just looking pretty.

If that fails (unless anyone here can help me) Il pay for help from these guys. Obedia. How We Work & Rates - OBEDIA | Music Recording Software Training And Support For Home Studio | Digital Audio Workstation Training
