I believe this was produced in 96/97 though not released until 99. Apparently Oakenfold played it regularly during his Cream residency from 97 - 99 and a huge buzz built up around the track by word of mouth. No Internet back then of course.

I first heard it during this essential mix in 99


This was probably the first time it was played on national radio and it really grabbed my attention. I think Oakey programmed the whole set so that when BITG dropped at 92 minutes it would make maximum impact. And it really did grab my attention when those vocals and synths came in.

It was released a couple of months later and divided opinion. Some loved it, others hated it. Most trance trance fans loved it I would say. I remember the first moment I heard it and still love it.

Loved it but it does sound like a few producers made it. Bit messy but still great.

Honestly, prefer this 'dub mix' to the original.

This was massive here in the UK at the time like ‘99/2000. I was around 17 and looked old enough to get into a lot of the bars and clubs in town ( ) and everywhere was playing it!


Really like this Solarstone remix as well, has a different feel to it.

Great vocal record...Adam Ellis also made a pretty decent moderm remake. Still his best work imo.

The lyrics are really good and memorable. Made a big impact on me when I first heard it but I never owned or heard other remixes until now. Solarstone one is cool.
