I can also add to the discussion....O is certainly a magnificent track, worthy of all the praise I read above. Possibly my favourite Planisphere track, but when there are so many good ones how can I call it?

For me - 'Moonshine' is the much better track, and the ultimate Planisphere track imo....i don think anyone else made that style of Trance ever, with the long atmospheric breakdowns and the kick finally coming back in. There has been quite a few different structures of Planisphere tracks - 'O' is another style while 'Nothingslave was totally different. But i just love that long breakdown style he had with Moonshine and a number of others like Totem.
Moonshine is such a banger. I love how they introduced tech-trance elements in it.

Alas not a lot of exposure for this one as Bonzai failed to re-release it digitally (like lots of their back catalogue which got released for the most part though, not sure what happened there). So unless you're a vinyl nerd there aren't many chances you'll ever come across a legit quality copy.

Hmm, theres also a version called "ozone", but its slightly different...or a completely different track probably

(sorry, another track, but it does sound like something he built from O )

Was that their 3-track mashup?

It took me a while to get this track but at some point in my mid 20's I remember having to run to the computer to see what magnificent specimen had landed on the shuffle as I was completely taken away. I enjoy it even more now than I did then. Thank god for evolving taste.

Whyyyyyyyy is it so good? Can someone explain? What makes it a great track? I can't put it into words at all; I only feel like it is a Great Track.

It is similar, they both use that reverbed and delay snare. Id say Ozone is a bit more chilled though. I think they went throught different 'styles' with the Planisphere alias - there was a few that had the same structure as Moonshine - the long cinematic break, and then the build up again.

After watching Laurent's interviews with Muzikxpress, I would assume this is yet another one of those tracks he (and Georges) churned out in a couple of hours, released it and has forgotten about it since. And probably thinks it's nothing special.

I am honestly very surprised at what Laurent thinks about old forgotten gems like this. I have a feeling he thinks they are badly produced or something. I only base this off of his interview about the Cloud 69 track. Just listen to this interview, the amount of self-criticism for what we regard as one of the better tracks from his discography is hard to understand.

I wonder, is Laurent even self-critical at all, or is our taste just that specific?

Yearly bump for this one. A stunner, absolutely rewards you at the end.
