if a bedroom producer made this (which is very possible, very simple track) then Armada probably wouldnt even listen to the promo lol.
Have to agree here, it's the same with all of his new tracks. This one just seems to be better than the others.

You know what it is... for me, a melody must bring at least ONE of these:

- energy
- emotion
- groove

If it doesn't bring ONE of these, it's a boring melody. Imo this track doesn't tick any of these boxes. It tries to be emotional I guess. But the arp doesn't do it for me.

Simple but enjoyable, could be a grower. Do find it a bit unremarkable.

Daysleeper I like the "Psy" bassline, cant hear anything wrong with the kick on my speakers, but agree with you about the hats and lack of nuance overall. Youre not getting a like though.

Fair enough, Its still generic and unsuitable imo. And i said in headphones. Try it. The kick sits deep in you inner ear. Its uncomfortable to me atleast.

Im giving this a 5.7 out of 10. Hutan is 9,1 out of 10

After listening to the full version, the kick I don't mind too much but the melody pitcyness just sounds too forced for me and long! But as I think DS alluded to, at 8 mins it needed something else. I found the tennis ball clap a little weird as well as the hats.

I'd still prefer this direction than his recent FSOE releases.

i actually quite like the simplicity. though I wouldn't classify this as a topnotch Push hit. more something that would neatly sit on a Push album along side 1 or 2 hitters.

A huge fan of M.I.K.E./Push over the years (like most of us I guess) , but nothing in recent times has recently done it for me including this track.

Whilst it may sound nice and polished it just feels really weak, thin sounding and that melody is like someone has just hit randomise on some sort of generator. Nothing memorable at all and ultimately I get zero feels from it.

9.1/10.0 is indeed high, but I would still put it within the top 1000 or so. It's better than a good chunk of the "generic classics" imo.
Maybe 8.7 is more reasonable, but this tune is a huge grower and its rock solid and I can assure you most people on here havnt chewed and disected this tune like I have done. Theres stuff to discover in it. I would say its easily within top 200 of all time, for me atleast. Its like Oliver Prime - Radiance.

After a 5+ listens, I decided to give this 9/10 as well, it has oldschool touches, quite unique sound and the ever-changing melody is enjoyable for me :) such a trip...
