I searched and realised the other legend who left his mortal body was dj shog. The dude was same age as me 46!

Just listening to the wicked dj shog ‘another world’. Another world is where both him and sadly maxi jazz are now one might say. .
Really sad. Maxi jazz at 65. Dj shog at 46. Makes me think we just have to try to ‘truly’ enjoy and get nice experiences in the life that we experience as often as we can. From the simple experiences to the bigger ones. Just appreciating a moment best we can.

RIP to 2 legends.

If God is a DJ, I wonder what Maxi will request to be played at heavens party tonight. I bet they’ll be a unique legend of an MC.

This was sad and most of all completely surprising news. I was shocked to hear the news.

As usual, the news had this big of an impact because Faithless has had a big influence to my musical taste. No Roots was released just when I was starting to expand my knowledge of electronic music and I can easily consider it as one of the first albums from electronic music I bought. And Greatest Hits compilation Forever Faithless followed shortly after. Naturally, there has been a lot of tracks which has I have listened to ever since.

Faithless has always been at the fine line being accessible and serious enough at the same time and flourished there. Insomnia is a great example of this. While it is not just pure "pop", that main synth makes it instantly recognizable for many generations of listeners.

My pick from the discography is from the more commercial side, but I just love this one.

Rest in peace Maxi
