don't know how 'bout yall, But out of all of madonna's work, Ray of Light, both the track as the album, stand out for me.

and I really, really wouldn't mind hearing a @Magdelayna ambient take of this or a @Julian Del Agranda belter.

So I for one am defo going to participate for the shits of it, and hope many of you will join me so we can post the results here

I don't think I'll participate before 25th sept per se. But I did download the stems, as it might be fun to make a version at some point.

I do like the vocals. Could be fun to play around with.

Yeah, Madonna's team are among the worst for striking down any unofficial use of her work. My remix of 'The Power of Goodbye' from the early 2000's was taken down ages ago.

So. It’s been a couple of weeks into the deadline and I haven’t gotten a copyright strike on my version on YT so I suppose it’s fine. And since there’s no way I’m actually gonna win this given trance’s niche genre status…. Here’s my version.


In the end didn’t alter too much. William orbits psychedelic guitar and playful Juno synths just match the theme and Madonna’s voice so well and just… speak for themselves. Goes for the overall arrangement also. I ended up giving the whole thing more drive and tempo, some detuned leads to compliment the guitar parts and a bit of an extension on the break with a pluck wich I considered “happy and careless”

I really like that! Yeah you didnt alter much but did add some nice drive and elements...i bet if you put the whole remix title on Youtube,youll get copyright - cos they go off text aswell. I registered,but didnt do anything else - i hope i still downloaded the stems haha.

This is brilliant! I have a soft spot for the original but this is a much better tune.

Yeah that remix is amazing even if you might have just made it in a few hours. It clicks, it hits, it's great.

The additional drive and tempo really suits well. To be honest I think the 'Aerium plucks' in the breakdown don't work that well with the rest of the track. Maybe this one doesn't really need a form of breakdown. Just dance, let's gooooooo.

I would play it in sets. It's greatttttttt.
