Didn't a recent track copy entirely the style of Spiral?
I think a producer even tweeted about it, but my memory might be blurry.

Easily one of the very best Nickson tracks out there, only beaten by 5th Dimension imo.

Is this the tweet you're thinking about? Robert Nickson himself reacting to a tweet on Ferry Corsten's recent collab with Ciaran McAuley.

This is uplifting done right. Imagine this being made today with modern bullshit over-compressed clean and polished samples? No one would give a flying fuck about it.

Not necessarily copied, who knows how melodies like this come together. You have something lingering in your subconscious and it comes forward when you start to create. It may just even be a coincidence altogether. Not fair to assume deliberate plagiarism in my opinion

With such a difference in release dates I'd say you could be correct. It is very suspect when tracks from the same year or just one year apart sound alike.

That's a bit cheeky considering Spiral itself was considered close enough to Jono Grant & Darren Tate's Nocturnal Creatures that Jono & Darren were retrospectively given "written by" credits. It wasn't consciously copied (Robert contacted Jono to sort it out himself), but once you're aware of it you can hear the same melody in both tracks.

Explained by Robert here:

The only version which is better than Spiral is Bryan's "Spiral Dimension" mashup :D

Been 7 years since I'm waiting for it's full release/free download...

Wonderful tune and classic, which was on repeat for months! Too bad there is not a shred of quality trance left on his 2019 Tellurian album.
