One of the first classics I discovered, I think. Was fascinated. It's still great today. Lovely energy, and great synths. This is not a track you can judge solely on its elements. It's a fantastic production overall, and the arrangement is pretty damn perfect for the style.

Pff the Strange World argument again. Just as with “Shamu”.

As an amateur producer myself, I think its a non-issue. Its just a short three note sequence, somewhat similar. Its just very basic build-up ‘melody’. So obviously you will hear similar stuff more often. Rolling bassline is in more tracks too... I find these three tracks all original and none ripped something off.

As for The Legacy, wonderful classic.
Yes I also preferred The Legacy as well! In fact now you mention it with the Shamu riff and C'est Musique vox sample Push managed to make a massive track borrowing from a few trance tracks before it which I've nearly really thought about....

The Legacy was the first Alphazone track I'd ever heard, though I can't remember how long ago. Pretty sure it was in some game clip edit or tutorial, much like Dreamscape - which was unavoidable in the mid 2000s.

At the risk of incurring the wrath of The Banhammer, these days I gravitate more towards Stay or their remixes of Storm and Wrong Love.

Of all their productions under various aliases though, the remix for Jetlag is the one I play the most to this day. Also #6 in my top 10 of all time.

As for Alphazone themselves, still haven't found anybody who gets close to their sound these days. It's always partial attempts, none quite as well balanced.

Also, this was missing. The whats called "Original Club Mix". Played by Cosmic Gate on Trance Energy 2003 :)

Oh Man, what a classic remix. Loved the Cosmic gate sets from the early 2000's.

The Alphazone remix is one of the greatest tunes, always stood out. Even alongside the sound of Hard Trance / Hardstyle back in my partying day's.

Expensive record on discogs.
