When I saw a remix for O, I immediately thought that this one was going to be messed up. The original O just has way too many things going for it (complex triplets, characteristic bassline, hard trance techno stabs, over-the-top supersaw synths) that any remix is just going to butcher it. No one can capture the same hard/euphoric uplifting trance duality that Scot Project harnessed for O.
That being said, Bryan Kearney's remix is... actually not that bad? It's more focused on the uplifting aspects of O. It doesn't have the same character as the original production. The trance pluck is neat, but it feels more like a remix of Alphazone instead of Scot Project. It's good enough to be an acceptable remix, yet it feels like it never quite "blows up" the same way O did.
Overall... nice for a first listen, and surprisingly not a butchered version of O, but not something I would revisit.
