I have a huge Collab track that hasn't been finished in 5+ years.

100% own Sounddesign and melody.
11 minutes, 4 breakdowns that all are totally different from each other and multiple climax parts, main, second and third .. Basically our dream come true opus magnum project from both of us.

Reason why it's not finished?

Somehow we confused working versions and developed many versions simultaneously.
Basically the best bits are all over the files...
There's no simple solution, since every project file has different tweaks as well, different mix...
It's hugely complicated.
Probably possible to fix, very tricky tho.
Would probs need to spend a holiday with it.

No one can fix it for us, that's certain haha.

Regarding Brandt possibly needing (time off / holiday) to focus just on this project and cannot afford it due to other priorities, then he might as well start a GoFundMe page.

I'm afraid in these cases even that probably wouldn't help...
Sadly for us listeners, these things happen. But from producer viewpoint I can understand sometimes it's harder than people from the outside think.

I was really pissed off about Will Atkinson not releasing Edge Of Forever, which is would be an alltime great classic if it had ever been released.

but he'd change the character of the track a bit.

It would need one of the artists to come forward to be able to sorting something.

There's definitely some Kandi bits in this.
So if Brandt is going to finish this solo, it will probably end changed up quite a bit.

Unless Kandi is cool with it having his elements without credits.

Idk, but one thing is certain. Someone's not going to be able to die in peace, if this track doesn't make it. Their soul would be tormented by TF users until their very last day, probably even beyond that.

Then it was played at Luminosity in 2019. Then, a break due to the pandemic affair in 2020 and 2021. And then he played it again in 2022. Until now, it was credited as a song by Sebastian and Daniel. Now we know it will be Sebastian's solo track.

My question is: Why did Peter play this track for many sets, but this year he skipped it? And why, when it was already clear it would be a Sebastian and Daniel collab, did changes suddenly occur, with only Sebastian contributing? It all seems like it'll be a re-write with changes.

I requested the track this year from Peter as I ran into him 1h or so before he set, didn't manage to squeeze in this time around. I requested it from Kandi but it didn't either. That was a sure fire sign that the track was dead, but if it goes the route of a solo effort it might see the light of day in the end!

As for why Peter played it so often - Brandt is no longer DJing, and Kandi is DJing very little. Peter and Brandt always were close and did a few collabs, and since he DJs the most out of the three it's only normal he took it out for a few spins.
