Finally it has happened - after 16 years since the 2 releases on one of my favourite trance labels (Somatic Sense Recordings), Sebastian Brandt has decided to resurrect his Selu Vibra alias!!

Selu Vibra - ID (from 2:33:04 to 2:37:14)

I'm super excited to hear the full version - when I was listening to the Luminosity Beach Festival 2022 stream live on twitch I immediately thought that this tune sounds like "Divine" follow-up, and today, during Solarstone's stream, I received proof from mr. Steele that it was indeed a Selu Vibra exclusive! \o/

It sounds ok, but the beats/kick sounds a bit "sloppy", and somewhat it does feel a little too gouryella:ish

So gutted my name sake couldn't play at this Lumi  I'm sure he would have played some new material, he's been back in the studio for some time now.
As for the track, the melody is indeed very Selu Vibra, but the kick doesn't go with the rest of the track imo. I second the Gouryella remark, it's just no where near as punchy as Ferry would make his.

Such good ears. I could never hear a track and make such a call, good job.

I think the track sounds pretty promising! Look forward to hearing the full thing.

Cool

But seems to lacks the magic from Stargazing and Divine.

it sounds a bit thin, ‘psy’-ish kick, less flow… Hmm.

Sounds ok,sounds like one of those tracks youd make it one afternoon, very simple melody and elements when you think about it - would like to hear additional synths and pads in the main melody to bring it to a climax. The breakdown synth needs a bit more behind it..

I agree with the other comments.
I'm a big fan of Divine (one of the most "controversial" tracks back in the days, at least in the trance.nu forum lol) and Sebastian Brandt but this doesn't speak to me so much. Too simple, too similar to Gouryella but without the same energy, the break has that "orchestral/soundtrack" vibe of Abora Recordings' releases which has been overdone to death. I don't know...

Why does Discogs have Sebastian Brandt crossed out then?
