Sometimes there is stuff happening that just makes you puke, right?

Today I wanna put the spotlight on a "label" I stumbled upon on Beatport.

It looks like there is only 1 person behind this label and all of the tracks. But notice the stupid tracks. Just click on the first 5/6/7 and look at the waveform.

And the length of the tracks.

They are all fucking the same! They have 100% identical arrengements, they are all 6:32. Just other pads/arps and render again. Hurray.

Why does this person think this is a good idea? Crap like this floods release-sections, floods the scene...

Share more stuff that destroys the scene. It's time for a little negative thread again. It's been a while.

Very well, let see you lot trump this one and speaking of shocking things that are terrible and just make you puke..

The War in Ukraine.

Trance artists and fans are, speaking from a scene only perspective (and from both camps in the conflict I might add), been politicized and dehumanized, and are no longer just artists, or fans.

Not as bad as that Temporary Fractals label, but also the Nu:Chain Music label is on a similar level.

Fast-food, completely-random template tracks, probably all ghost-produced by some sort of AI.. rotfl

overall trance seems to have gone completely underground. Today you have to present a very high quality to change something, to make the scene shine again. examples of this type bring nothing especially to fans of the genre. while for an ordinary young listener, good rhythm and a simple melody are what count, and people today make money on such a recipe. difficult times, especially since nobody creates for connoisseurs. it's easier to create a simple hem for a teenager than something good for us. However, sometimes something will surprise you here

and besides, thanks a good time, reflection, although now I probably won't publish anything at al ;)
however, I consider this forum as the best place to learn a craft. that's why the ears will hurt sometimes, but who knows, maybe something good will come out someday

Yes when you think about it we are the real victims of the war in Ukraine, aren't we?

1. Trolls who don't have anything better to do.

2.Threads about trance being shit, rubbish, dead, fart trance, trouse, big room , not original sounding the same, degga degga, steroid trance 138bpm trance.

3.DJs who pretend to be "Trance DJs" but play shit stuff like ahem Armin van Buuren

4. Facebook/Meta and Twitter and the stupid fanbase.

5. Forums closing down and a lack of interaction between fans and artists on forums. We have had 10 forums closures in the past decade (Armin forum, Anjuna forum, DI.FM forum, JOOF forum, Matt Hardwick forum, Markus Schulz's Forum and Ferry Corsten's forum, Trance.nu, Inthemix forum (Australian forum) and the old Trancefix forum too )

6. Not enough money going towards the artists as in producers and not good enough talent coming up. The majority of the money and influence seems to be going towards djs and putting on a entertainment show rather than showing off their skills.

7. Talented musicians moving away from trance completely because they've been screwed by so many idiots working within A&R and label owners and djs due to a lack of support.

8. DJs who are hypocrites like John 00 Fleming - Talks big about bringing back trance to it's glory days and then does a complete 180 degree on the genre.
9. Trance producers having political opinions and voicing their own conspiracy concerns on social media.

when you know exactly one chord progression but you want your song to be played in ASOT

Those identical tracks made me chuckle haha, its like the same melody in a slightly different key. But seriously this has been happening for years in the Trance section of Beatport - you see thousands of tracks released every year by unknown amateur labels like this. They clearly think they can make a load of money by flooding the market - but you will make literally pennies with an attitude like this. Youll never get anywhere.

btw, actually the production quality of this guy isnt that bad, compared to some tracks that get released in the Trance genre there - if you dig deeper. Some truly Ejay sounding stuff.

Give it a rest, man can't work miracles. If there are only a handful of people producing underground Trance music then what is he meant to do? If that specific inventory isn't there he cant run a label or monthly radio show relying on it. Should he let his business just fail into obscurity or pivot into something he clearly enjoys?

The most shocking is for me that 'Uplifting Trance' is still a thing after all those years... sorry to say, I know many of you are still into it, I don't see any relevance
Thank you! This is exactly what I've been saying for years! I mean, let's face it, when was the last time the genre was even remotely interesting? 2008, more or less? No, seriously, I'm actually surprised the genre hasn't died as of yet, I mean, by the early new 10's Uplifting was pretty much a minority thing in most big radioshows like ASOT and TATW, for example, it was expected for it to finally die by that time but for some weird unknown reason it just keeps on coming back stronger than ever despite the fact that barely anything actually interesting came from that genre in the last 12-13 years or so, I don't know, it really is a mystery to me how this braindead genre just keeps on coming back over and over again despite how repetitive and annoying it has been for the last decade or so.

Nobody has ever called me an optimist, I am all for some negativity (just wait till you reach the last sentence of this post)

But in response to the question of this topic I must say: “Threads like these”. It just seems that the majority of the conversations that I read here revolve around the “good old days” and “what’s wrong with the scene now”. Totally different from what I remember from reading the forums when I was young (see I’m doing it muself). There was positivity back then!

Maybe we should face it. It is not about the scene, the quality of the music or any other reason. The truth is much more simple, the average trance fan is old, we’re old! And there is no way a 35-40 old will get as excited about a melody as a 16 year old did, that is simply a fact. The only thing that old people like to do is remember the good old days, this forum is a case in point.

PS: The promised last sentence: See, I was negative about negativity, top that!

this species will never die. it is a very graceful music that will accept anything. personally, I am waiting for my resurrection. in my opinion, it's a matter of time. trance combines everything, but I am waiting the most for the return of the dirty classic
