Hey, aware that the site is not loading at many times throughout yesterday and now today. Seems to decide randomly when it will and wont work. I hopefully will get to the bottom of this tomorrow when I speak to the hosting providers. Until then, DONT PANIC
Maybe we should think about creating alternative communication channel like Discord? I've been using that, and tbh it has been proven to be a decent platform for such large communities

Yeah I upgraded the site plan so we can support more traffic. I also added security rules so that certain bot traffic from google is blocked to stop them eating CPU/Memory. Let's see. At the moment all those stats are at max, so I imagine once they reset (which is possibly the 26th) we will hopefully be in a good place. I blame @NameLessYet for spreading the word of Trancefix in China and us taking off over there.

Site seems to be doing ok now, right guys? No more errors and opening fine? That's my experience but if i could get a thumbs up on this post from any here that things seem to be good then thats useful feedback for me. Or tell me its crashing/not-loading still

Yep me too. CPU, Processing and Memory all exceeded. Traffic, likely much of it form bots, is overloading the server. I have added more security measures to block certain violating IPs and sent out a few SOS posts to nerds across the internet.

One IP in particular was causing a massive amount of logs, let's hope my block is enough.

Guys I realize the site still has issues. Just know I am working on it every day to find the fix. I am in the process of switching to a new host so we get more memory and can support the increased traffic. Thanks!

Couldn't tell you. We use a software called Xenforo

I guess the continuous on/off sessions might be, indeed, PhP related issues: the current Cloudflare based hosting solution might not sustain the regular traffic and, therefore, they require either an upgrade of the current plan in use or switch to a dedicated cloud-powered system with more RAM and resources available. The company I work for, providing Hosting solutions, for example, would allow the customer upgrading from one to another server or cloud based solution where you would then configure/install/activate your custom-made website or app or, as in this case, Xenforo service.
Btw, me too don't know exactly how Xenforo works in details but I just guess it's, still, a php-based solution. If this service includes add-ons and non-native plugins required to make the entire forum works fine, then... it might be good looking into them as proably no longer compatible with the PhP version in use. Xenforo customer support should really give you this sort of clarifications since they are the solution-provider and know the XenForo requirements: CloudFlare, instead, as your Host/DNS provider should check whether their web-hosting solution fits perfectly with the Xenforo/PhP requirements. If CloudFlare plan has limited/restricted web space, then, you need to consider switching to an unlimited space type of plan in CloudFlare or via another registrar.

Thank you for taking the time to think about this @Horizons

My feeling is that it's out pathetic CPU limit of 1GB that is the main culprit. Site traffic has increased over the years, but throw in bots and we can easily hit the memory limit, overload the site and then suffer the temporary shut down until CPU drops below 90%. The low physical memory might also play a role.

Site stats during a typical crash:

I think I just need to move host where I have . I have yet to do that because I don't really know how. Maybe its easy to do. I'll dedicate time this weekend to attempt that.

100/100 processes might end up with overloading the traffic allowance, that looks like being served on a dedicated server though, which, however, seems to have limited hosting capacity. Upgrade that features vs move the entire solution to another provider.

I think I just need to move host ----> Exactly my point. Transferring the whole content by creating your own local backup via FTP services (Filezilla for example). Once done, (and don't forget database too, if in use) then you're free to choose the new hosting provider. If done and wondering who to contact, you can contact me in private and I'll address you to my company.

Also I am having issues with the search as well.

Tell me more. I am in the process of migrating the site to a knew host. It's done actually but issues can arise, so a detailed understanding is useful.

Well, the technology one it never came up on the searches at all. That's why it was a double thread posted.
