Great track but the mastering is so bad..
As someone who has no knowledge of how to produce, what aspects are bad? If you hadn't mentioned anything I would not have thought too much about mastering , it doesn't seem obvious to me that its bad. I guess some elements seem a bit lost in the overal mix? It certainly seems like a less spacious sounding track than if it was released on Forescape, but Is that not just an artistic decision when the artist is making the track i.e to put the low-end bass in less focus and/or some effects quieter and less pronounced? Just curious really.

Maybe it's just a mix cut, rather than a radio edit or a cut from the original.

Well, I don't even know where to start in this case. It sounds like a mess. If I would have signed this track I'd ask my mastering engineer on what needs to be done by producer first. This way he will be able to deliver the best possible mixdown afterwards. Also, It's a good practice to show the producer mastered version of his track before sending it to the stores.

Funabashi a.k.a Tom Porcell mastered all compilation tracks and in contrast; we are pretty content with all results.

(Slam Duck delivered his own mastered version, but unfortunately, we found it quite weak)

I bought it yesterday and listened this morning, nothing wrong with mastering. Great track

I won't mind if I have some popcorn as well. Plus, any constructive criticism is allowed, especially from someone who knows more about it.

Just listened to the full original mix. Yeah it's a bit less clean, but I love it! The bassline is deep, the percussions sound really good. Some levels are a bit off, yeah, but I don't care. It's not severe enough for me to not enjoy the track, at least.

Really nice track. The style is excellent.

It feels like I'm hearing an early 2000s ASOT episode.
That's not a bad thing. It carries an amateur vibe with it, which makes it sound unique.

Just listened through my beast headphones and yeah I am def left wanting more from the low ends, synths and details. I can kind of imagine how this would sound on Forescape with a lot more space and pronounced elements. Still I dont really know if im just chatting shit and lack the professional ears to understand. I think the idea and track concept is 10/10. Kind of want to hear the unmastered Slam Duck version now

Oh boy this is well produced! Definitely inspired by Airwave I think.
