It has those annoying Electro house sounds hence my negative review.Okay,it doesn't sound nearly as bad as the reviews here
I get it, I also immediately feel like I’ve traveled back to 2012 when this was pretty much mainstream, and those electro rumbles terribly annoyed me even back then it was the funeral of trance music.Looking back at that time, even by those standards, if you take that period without diving deep into the classics, it sounded better than today's cookie cutter tracks made of identical melodies. Despite the electro sound, it sounded original at the very least. Nowadays, the pathetic attempts by scene veterans to squeeze out something resembling an original melody just look sadIt has those annoying Electro house sounds hence my negative review.
They started in 2006 or 2003 if you actually want to factual. But Armin played those Elevation and Markus schulz remix of Karen Overton which has those annoying pitch bend sounds. I get what you are trying to say older tracks sounded less boring and the only good thing about this 'update' is the breakdown other than that it's nothing. I wouldn't hear it again and I have forgotten most of those tracks played back then which had those sounds. If you want proper electro trance then old Ferry Corsten's sound is a great example of them well done and even Rendezvous by DJ Fire another great example.I get it, I also immediately feel like I’ve traveled back to 2012 when this was pretty much mainstream, and those electro rumbles terribly annoyed me even back then it was the funeral of trance music.Looking back at that time, even by those standards, if you take that period without diving deep into the classics, it sounded better than today's cookie cutter tracks made of identical melodies. Yeah, that track in the ASOT episode is awful. I just used it as an example of what Armin used to play a lot back then. I feel like it happened before too, it's just that it peaked when the bigroom sound became the 'meta' in trance, so to speak. As for this remix, I think it sounds okay for his live sets, but just to sit down and listen to it? I'd never come back to it either. Why bother when the beautiful original exists? To be honest, over the past year, I’ve developed a really negative attitude toward remixes of classics. I rarely put any on, except maybe for tracks that actually mean something to me, like this one. This flood of classic remixes has obviously always been around, it’s just that lately it has started to really annoy meThey started in 2006 or 2003 if you actually want to factual. That is annoying track I don't know what it is at all and I don't want to listen to it again what a horrible track Armin has played a lot of them over the years Ja track by Junkie XL being one of them which funnily enough was also an electo house track I have forgotten the name. I was speaking to Steve Bolger (DJ Redstar) who owns Redforce recordings and even he agrees how the entire structure of making trance or let alone dance music has changed and it's not about instant gratification anymore or trying to focus on making it groovy, atmospheric and melodic as well.
I don't consider Big room edm/electro house to be trance because there isn't consistent euphoric or hypnotic feeling throughout the track like there is in a trance track and edm/big room and electro house it's just mindless noise. That's because they've become mindless zombies or burnout and depressed because if they can find lazier way to make stuff without thinking and here is question older tracks still sound good in sound system and at home why can't it be like this nowadays? Even the dancing in these pseduo trance episodes like these ones below the dancing is so out of pace. It feels like I am watching a rock concert rather than a dance music event with hands all up in the air with their fingers up in the air like Let's rock poseYeah, that track in the ASOT episode is awful.
