Credibility can be achieved and maintained if you use cool content with it, the tune can still be cool and not cheesy and the footage more catchy and can go viral, there’s many different ways, you just need to be smart about it

not being funny but Hans Zimmer isn’t going to appeal to the younger generation of dance music fans, yes attaching his name will pump up numbers on all platforms, but it’s completely out of context if your using it to further a dance music/dj career imo

Im not sure how to take this comment - i didnt 'use' his name in any way to further my dance music career lol. I was a massive fan of the Gladiator movie, seen it at the cinema in 2000,one of my favourite films ever, and also one of my favourite ever soundtracks by Zimmer. The original is probably my favourite piece of music ever. I though id do my version of the main theme - and at over 30 million plays on Youtube, its probably one of the most played Chilled Trance tracks of all time.

i wanna ask a completely different thing.

Is your name coming from Wesley Sneijder the footballer, or is it your actual name or something? 😜

I’m not saying you did

I’m using it as an example where numbers on tiktok can be achievable in different ways, you actually made the point yourself in the previous post

I added the last part generalising, just as my personal opinion , not aimed at your reasoning behind the reworks

It’s comes from two things actually …

I used to be a hardcore DJ for 12 years, mainly Dutch sounding hardcore, I still have a massive passion for that sound, the older 90’s sound that is. I’m also a massive football fan

So when I started to make trance and start the ‘Sneijder’ project the name was derived from Wesley Sneijder connected to my passion for football but also being Dutch it crossed over to my love for Dutch hardcore music

I’m working on an official release

it’s tricky with conflicts within the group themselves and older labels being bitchy

Should have an update very soon on it though

@Sneijder, well, your story is pretty touching. The "best" part (funny and touching at the same time) were the notes of your father's favorite trance tracks and sets. I even prepared an article for one sites in Poland :)

Really good track, solid as a tribute; really like the deepness of Victoriya's voice :) I won't name it as my Tune Of The Year but it's something outstanding for sure 👍

You were Sneijding yourself in the fingers with all those critics.

YES!! That was the best wordplay of 2022. Only the Dutchies will understand but that doens't matter. I win, best wordplay of the year.

You called me 'Deaf' in one post and made uninformed comments both on my FB and various YouTube videos

I would say thats a bit more than an opinion tbh, I don't need that kind of negativity on my socials, especially on this tune and its very personal to me

Play stupid games win stupid prizes my friend..

This goes out to every overly-harsch “connoisseur” critic of the scene who’s never touched a sequencer in their lives but thinks it necessary to be a seagull-manager on every release that does not conform to their horrendously specific trance-taste buds. (not saying this is you perse freezer but in general).

it’s fine to dislike stuff
It’s fine to offer constructive criticism

just know that the artists in question are not your serfs or under any obligation to make what you like and will, after putting in work, creative effort and soul in, grow tired of your constant torrent of moaning.

if you want to “fix” the scene, pick up a fucking DAW or mix software to promote the stuff you love.

@Sneijder

despite the above mentioned, I often (but that’s me) do take it as a defacto compliment when people give me said slack as I can only deduce that my previous work must have touched them so profoundly to evoke such a reaction.

My 2cents in all this drama

Vocals might need to grow on me but enjoy the track overall.

Thanks @Sneijder for sharing your thoughts with the community, I appreciate hearing your unique perspectives

Making Dutch jokes on an international forum? Resembles there on that you two not everything on a little queue have 🤔

As for the song, it's really nice! Not too fond of the vocal myself, but that's mostly because I generally prefer instrumental anyway. I can see it growing on me after some more listens, for sure.
Might also be a bit late to say this, but I'm sorry to hear about your father, Sneijder. I hope he's resting in peace. 🙏

Thank you

he passed in 2020, and tbh with lockdown and dealing with the loss I couldn’t string any music together for over 6 months and this was the first track I finished after a long period of grief.

I absolutely love the vocals, they are completely different from the standard trance vocals. They are not quite lead vocals but not quite atmospheric either if that makes sense, somewhere inbetween, they trigger that emotive response for me, so that’s all that matters really I suppose
