but i'm equally of the stance that telling
other people what to do with
their free time is pointless if not downright counter-productive. At best you can sort of friendly-hint to the benefits of doing it yourself.
Its a bit like the whole guilt-tripping people for mixing cdj's or mp3's instead of vinyl we had back in the days or the whole "complain for alleged education's sake " phenomenon i often see in the new releases section.
its not actually going to stem to the tide in reverse or convince producers to go and make stuff that more adheres to said posters specific "good trance" taste... In fact in case of the latter they're far more likely to go somewhere else with a bit more positive encouragement.
I think in the end what we do will be akin to say: one man business custom knife sculpting. Where smithing as a craft used to be the standard. The overwhealming majority of cultery is shlop from an ikea factory nowadays, but you still have small hobbyist communities who do it for the fun of making things.
, not to please "teh mainstream audience" so to put it.
and i'm actually fine with that.. in 30 years it'll be granddad's cringe or mindly interresting hobby.
