I think it's quite a cool feature. Why shouldn't my playlists sound better through useful tools? I typically do not put my trance playlists on in group events or partys because sometimes the long outros and intros are too jarring as you move from one track to the next. Having something that can mix it all together has the potential to create a better listening experience in some instances. Tech might not be there yet, but give it a few years and should be decent.

Yes, that was actually the function I was talking about. I got mixed up in the different Spotify mix functions (pun intended)

I agree with that, but it has always been the case. 90% of all human creation is garbage, always has been, even before AI. It may now move to 98% though

I think the most important skill of the 21st century is learning to differentiate valuable information from the low quality one. It is the only way to stay sane and live a normal life. With AI it simply got a bit more difficult.

Well, obviously it is not going to replace real DJ mixes. It is good to be able to add some flow into some of the playlists though. A lot better than having Trance playlists with empty beats and pauses.

Here's another one I mixed today.
For some tracks it doesn't display the grid, so there was a bit of finger fun required to beatmatch those.


The transition from Abhyasa to Turtle Paradise turned out pretty cool methinks.

It's not possible to make it sound like a pro DJ mix, because of the limited settings. This is pretty much all you can squeeze from it.

Many times it was impossible to do what I'd liked to. For instance in some cases when it doesn't detect the grid, only short two bar transitions are possible.

You can't loop parts, for filtering theres a limited choice of envelope presets.

Still there's fun to be had and some playlists sound better compared to unmixed, even with those limited settings.

I just signed up for Spotify and the dj mix is only 3 minutes (?) and then after 3 songs it goes on its own random mix . It's not that good an. Is there anything else on Spotify?

Spotify’s problem is that it usually doesn’t have 9 out of 10 tracks I want to listen to, so it’s basically impossible to build a collection there. But the auto-mix function is cool
