'Squash' is the new moniker of the 'Abdul Raeva' duo, under which they've recently dropped two new EP's. I believe this upcoming release will please most of the 'Progressive House' fansboys here on the forum, the preview of track B1 caught my attention the most.

Heads down, steady and to the point — Squash returns to Healer Records with 3 understated club cuts, tracing deeper corners of dub, prog and tech house. All function, no excess.

All 3 nail my favourite elements in oldschool Prog - the groove and the atmosphere. Wouldn't sound out of place in an early 2000s Nick Warren dj set. Definitely getting the vinyl.

Great release but not sure I would call it prog, or even oldschool. It has touches of those influences, but I would personally classify as more of a house/tech-house record.

imo, the standout releases are the ones that aren't easily pigeonholed.. when a track fits into multiple genres, it appeals to a diverse range of djs, which is often the key to its success)
