Really like how atmospheric this sounds, those choir-like pads are gorgeous.

I perhaps would have gone for something different than the offbeat bass here. The track is crying out for bassline there with a bit more grove to it, that could really set the track off I think.

There's a fair bit of mud in the mud range as well - maybe look at cutting some of the mids on the pads a little bit to give the rest of the track room to breathe.

Sounds really good though, definitely has that late 90's progressive sound to it!

Thank you for your response. I will give this another run through and mess around with the bass too. I always have trouble with the mixing in the midrange. I really need to improve that aspect of my productions.

the athmosphere/pads you employ make the track. as for critique I concur with @LostLegend on this, Either make the kick/bass sup-par to the pads/melodies, or go for something more groovy

other then than thumbs up, you nailed the older sound.

You bought me in the first 15 seconds or so. Really does feel like a ~2002 revamped progressive trance sound at the beginning.

That said, I agree with the bassline comments. I wouldn't even go for something with groove - I think even a simple, muted Coldharbour-sidechained bassline would work wonders, with less aggressive hihats if you wanted to make it seem even slower.

In addition, those melodies are pretty good - however I don't think they work quite well. They kinda work in tandem with the bassline and cymbals, however not quite with the atmospherics. And I think the atmospheres are so good that they deserve to be more prominent, maybe even kind of a centerpiece of the track. Stylistically, this gets a bit all over the place as the track goes on.

I can't wait to hear what you got next though! I'm quite encouraged by this.

A promising foundation. Only have a few minutes to give some quick feedback so here it is;
- Highhats bit too clean/sterile for my taste
- I really like the baseline and offbeat. Little more punch maybe? Maybe not.
- Melodic synth at 3:50 already feeling to repetitive to me. Almost want a slower melodic arrangement to draw me in, rather than something catchy.
- Melodic synth at 5:18 much better and really like it. It feels like a build up melody to me though in a way, after a while also feeling bored if it, needs to go to the next mood or level, too repeating.
- Atmospheric pads are lovely
