Fun Geek fact: First Snow is the name of the Korg X5D patch that's been used here.

"But Jetflag, you Swasbuckling Bedroom Production James Bond!
I hear you ask,
how did you aquire that most ínterresting extrémely relevant piece of musical information?

Well, totally not contrived and self indulgent question, I so happen to own a Korg X5d Keyboard.

and so to place some well deserved artistic criticism on a "holy piece of og old trance music" for a change on this forum:

The fact that its number 2 in the X5d's pre programmed preset list, the fact that he only uses two 2 note chords and one additional (pre programmed) pluck sound for the whole track. and the fact that the rest is just 909 drums, most of which again standard preset sounds, makes me conclude that this track although somewhat aurally pleasing is, artistically speaking quite lazy I mean, Minimal..

Plucked attack has a hell of a lot more efford in it by my estimation and as such will get a like from me.

Simple, lazy or not, it's just gorgeous. No clean, "minimal" track from 2021 can even accomplish this. Sometimes it's just the sounds used that make a huge difference.

Yeah, thats why I call this 'proper detroit', even when I know that Stephen is from Scotland and the label is Dutch. The 'detroit musical aestetics' were always very limited, minimalistic, raw, made with old gear, till today it works like this. I'm huge Detroit techno fan since 2010, it is the best genre for my mind, soul and ears. I would love to have this release on vinyl in the future.
