One of the most talented acts in Trance/EDM scene known as Steve Allen once more brings his skills to the table together with Trance Classics by remixing one of the all time Trance anthems. This time there is no kidding.

The originality of this production stands out, and will keep the listener hooked from start to finish. This is the most complete version we have so far heard of this eternal classic.

And as the video description already tells us, Enjoy and PLAY LOUD! (I am not responsible for any hearing damage or hardware malfunction this may cause)

I wish this would have been the April Fools' Day so my bluff would have been revealed. I deserve a medal.

What comes to the track itself I do not need to comment. You know already.

Im not sure how this track was cleared for release when its the Ferry Corsten remix underneath..
Yeah this is criminal in every way. I just stumbled onto this in Youtube today and I thought this was a joke.

Just shows that we do not have any limits anymore. It is hard to take the scene seriously anymore.

And by the way, what is this "Trance Classics" who releases tracks? Must have nothing to do with the Youtube channel who are posting some amazing tunes every week?

So the text was sarcastic? I hope it was..

Steve Allen is extremly overrated. Uses the same project over and over and over. Literally the same kick, bass, loops on various tracks. Just change notes, done. Another track finished. How he’s a “name” in trance is beyond me. Sorry, Steve.

Yeah but not only that but the actual ferry corsten remix is playing underneath this 'new remix'...he hasnt even made any original synths for the melody and the intro riff ferry made aswell...so how can he title it his own track and how did it ever get cleared and released?!

Well, musical compositions are only protected by copyright for so many years. I think something close to 78 years. Thats why classical pieces are used, theres no hassle with rights.

Then the question is; what is stolen from ferry? The arpeggio is recreated, but not copied and pasted. When you say “the actual ferry remix is underneath”, that sounds like Steve Allen imported it into is DAW and built this. But thats not the case. Its recreated.

Theres no way you can claim a certain note-rhythm (the arpeggio) belongs to you. Same as the “sound of an instrument”. Ferry cant say “its the same supersaw pluck”. Thats not part of the copyright. Which is good btw, cuz else there would hardly be any new music at all.

So the whole famous main section? Probably no copyright violation?

that leaves the intro... if the intro is made up by ferry, and it has nothing to do with Adagio for Strings (with the classical piece), then that could be an issue. If it is (I dont know) then its the same story as above.

In the end of the day its shameless obviously. This will be number 1 on Beatport though......

I listened on my phone, so extremely low quality. Thought it was only re-made. Will check later then. If its really layered underneath it... then he should be put in jail for crime against trance.

Lock him up!!1 :)

Steve Allen is fantastic but I'm inclined to agree, this is the Ferry Corsten version with other stuff added on top.
When people say "Oh, it's just the original with a sledgehammer kick", I tend to disagree, but that is quite literally what this is, it's a lazy production.

Are you sure? That label had more releases under “trance classics”. Seems like a label-idea for marketing purpose.

Alright, so.... on my HS8's.... jesus it sounds aweful. At 2:10, such a wall of sound. What a mess. I still think it's recreated though, and not the actual "mp3" underneath. My opinion on the track doesn't change though, wether it's a recreation, or not.

As for "Trance Classics". They do this all the time. See Discogs. It's just someone who randomly produces this crap for RazNitzan's label.
