What do you think about this version of „Cafe Del Mar”? I’m surprised that vocal actually fits and it’s not a garbage. Producers didn’t change a lot from Three N One Mix (but I feel Luvstruck’s sound here), I’m not feeling cringe, it’s well-done 👍

It fits quite nicely indeed, Luvstruck is involved, so I was expecting some level of quality. But I am too tired of this track overally :)

I read this forum regularly, i enjoy reading the comments. I appreciate the support you all show me, but to say it’s disrespectful is a bit disappointing. Whitney Houston (Rest In Peace) took Dolly Parton’s “I Will Always Love You” and covered it but people never slated her for doing this. I hope you’re all doing well and thank you for the continued support 👍

Whenever I see your name these two tracks of the same track spring to mind. I think listeners are just not happy that when they hear a track which has already been remixed 10000x times before and this adds nothing new and not only that you've renamed the track to gives the false perception and the superficial attempt that you've made an effort in making an original melody and track.

To blatantly use one of the most well know melodies without mentioning the original creator just rubs me the wrong way.

I do not like this version but that is a matter of taste, who cares what I think.

In the perfect world, original artist should be mentioned in the title but it would be definitely too long. But you don’t believe that this track was released without original artist’s permission, am I right?

Creators of „Cafe Del Mar” are written in the credits (and Shayan as vocalist):

As you can see above, it was made legally with a big respect to original and its creators.

Am I a fan of projects like this? Usually not, but here it’s made well, without destroying the vibe of classic track. But I respect every opinion in this discussion I began (btw. nice to see you here @Luvstruck ✌️) .

With cover versions (meaning there are no actual stems/samples from the original used, but only self-made elements are used) you don’t need permission.

Btw it’s good to see the Insta post, makes the context slightly better.

For me it’s simply a moral thing. Specially if it’s “one of your favorites”. I can’t imagine using the main melody from Svenson & Gielen’s “Twisted”, put some vocals on it, and then release it under my own with a random title. I would feel sick and embarrassed if I’d do that. I mean, it would be the greatest honor to have an official remix of them. The holy mighty music I adore, touched by me… the pinacle of achievements… that’s how I would experience that.

So that’s why I find it strange - if like he claims its one if his favorites ever - he would not go for Energy 52 - Cafe Del Mar (Luvstruck Vocal Edit) or whatever. Even Luvstruck - Café Del Mar would at least mention the famous title. (Maybe Spinnin’ had a say in it, to release like this for marketing purpose).

It’s nothing new though, this happens all the time, releasing covers as original. So this track is just an example of many. I just don’t like these practices. You’ll never see me do it. But like I said: okay, at least there’s the insta post… I guess it’s something.

It's alright. The vocal is better than a wispy modern Ellie Goulding-type. But I can't help but think that if I heard it first on commercial radio I'd start ranting that Guetta's back again.

Vocals over Cafe Del Mar always brings me back to the classic Friday Night Posse bootleg

That’s ok I respect all your opinions and that’s the beauty of life. You’re not always going to agree on things but i love the song and vocal and cafe del mar will always have a special place in my heart having been a clubber and dancing my backside off to that song back in the late 90’s. I just want to say thank you all for your continued support i really appreciate it and I thought i would reply to you all because i try and comment to everyone where i can as I feel it’s important. I played it last night at ASOT and it was unreal 🙌
